Korean Air is undergoing a major rebrand following its recently completed acquisition of fellow Korean airline Asiana.

As part of the airline’s new look, it has unveiled details of the first of its refreshed lounges at its Seoul-Incheon (ICN) hub, which are scheduled to open on Monday, August 18, 2025.

Let’s take a look at the details.

Korean Air’s Brand-New Lounges in Seoul

The first phase of Korean‘s lounge refresh project is almost complete.

After already opening 2 new Prestige Garden Lounges at each end of its newly expanded terminal, phase 1 will end on August 18 with the opening of the refurbished Miler Club and Prestige East Lounge.

Certain elite members and premium passengers passing through the Miler Club and Prestige East Lounge will enjoy top-tier cuisine cooked right in front of them by chefs from the Grand Hyatt Incheon.

The 2 new East and West Prestige Garden Lounges feature views over traditional Korean-style and modern Western gardens, respectively.

A renowned interior design agency meticulously curated the new and refreshed spaces, a nod to the many 5-star hotels the agency has previously worked with, such as the Four Seasons Seoul.

The lounges resemble luxury hotel lobbies rather than the more traditional restaurant-style lounges that Korean Air passengers might be used to. Gold, charcoal, black, and ivory make up the main color palette of the lounges, echoing the look and feel of the premium cabins on Korean Air’s planes.

The project will come to a close in Q1 of next year when renovations are completed on the First Class lounge, the Prestige East (left) Lounge, and the Prestige West Lounge. Once complete, Korean Air will have increased the number of seats available in its lounges from 898 to 1,566.

More lounge space was essential as Korean Air’s acquisition of Asiana means more planes and more passengers.

Hot Tip:

Korean Air has just launched a new business class: Prestige 2.0. To try it out for yourself, you might want to book using points and miles rather than spending a ton of cash.

Final Thoughts

A new look, a new business class, an expanded airport, and new lounges: Korean Air is really having a moment. We look forward to passing through Seoul as soon as possible to get an in-person look at the new spaces!
