MaxMyPoint has become one of our favorite tools for finding hotel award availability, and it’s now even more useful thanks to several new search upgrades.

The popular platform for searching hotel award availability has rolled out several new enhancements, headlined by support for Bilt’s Home Away From Home (HAFH). The update also includes a handful of other improvements aimed to making searching for hotels and comparing your options a little easier.

Here’s a look at what’s new.

Bilt Home Away From Home Joins MaxMyPoint

The biggest addition in MaxMyPoint‘s latest update is Bilt’s Home Away From Home (HAFH) platform.

If you’re not familiar with it, HAFH is Bilt’s version of premium hotel booking programs like American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts (FHR), The Hotel Collection, or The Edit by Chase Travel.

Eligible stays booked through the Bilt Travel Portal can include perks like complimentary breakfast, room upgrades (when available), late checkout, and property credits.

With this update, MaxMyPoint now identifies hotels that are part of Bilt’s Home Away From Home (HAFH) Collection directly in its search results. That means Bilt cardholders and Bilt Rewards members can quickly spot eligible properties and see where they may be able to stack HAFH benefits with hotel elite status perks, promotions, or even award stays.

It’s also one less website to check. Instead of searching MaxMyPoint for award availability and then opening Bilt Travel to see whether a hotel is part of Bilt’s HAFH, you can now see that information in one place while comparing your options.

New Hotel Rate Timeline Makes It Easier To Find Cheaper Dates

Another useful MaxMyPoint addition is a new Nightly Rate Timeline on each hotel page. It shows how nightly rates have trended over time, making it easy to see whether prices have been moving up or down based on historical data.

If a property participates in both Amex’s FHR and Bilt’s HAFH platforms, you can now compare pricing between the 2 programs across different months to see which offers the better deal.

Hot Tip:

Hotel rates can vary significantly throughout the year. Take a quick look at the Nightly Rate Timeline before booking to see if it can help you find lower-priced dates.

More Hotel Details Before You Book

MaxMyPoint is also expanding the information available on individual hotel pages. You can now see additional details like a property’s opening and renovation year, whether it offers free parking, and its pet policy.

It’s helpful information to have before booking, especially if you’re comparing multiple hotels. These new features are currently rolling out in beta, and MaxMyPoint says user feedback will help determine future improvements to the platform.

Final Thoughts

MaxMyPoint keeps adding useful features that make planning a hotel stay a little easier, and the addition of Bilt’s Home Away From Home (HAFH) Collection is especially useful for Bilt Rewards members.

HAFH may be the biggest addition, but it’s not the only new feature. If you already use MaxMyPoint to search for hotel award availability, you now have a few more tools and a little more information to help you compare your options.
