The Mondrian is one of the world’s most exclusive and recognizable hotel brands.
The chain just announced that it has opened a new location in highly-popular Mexico City — here’s what you need to know!
183-room Mondrian Mexico City Condesa Now Open
The Mondrian Mexico City Condesa is now officially open for guests. Located between 2 of the most popular neighborhoods in Mexico City, La Roma and Condesa, the property features 183 rooms, including 2 penthouse suites, and 16 suites, occupying the hotel’s 7th and 8th floors. All suites include a full bar, espresso machine, 24-hour in-room dining, and the option for a private chef.
The Mondrian Mexico City Condesa features 4 dining options, including a Mediterranean cuisine restaurant, a sky lounge with panoramic views, and an all-day coffee shop.
While the hotel itself doesn’t have a pool, guests are permitted to use the pool at the nearby Andaz Mexico City Condesa.
“With the introduction of Mondrian Mexico City Condesa, The Mondrian brand brings its signature style and sophistication to Condesa, a neighborhood with a strong sense of culture and innovative culinary offerings,” General Manager Diego Padula said in a statement.
Rates for a standard king bedroom start at $260 per night for January 2023 dates.
This isn’t the only big news coming from the Mondrian brand as of late. Ennismore (formerly sbe) announced last week that the first Mondrian hotel in France, Mondrian Cannes, would open in March 2023 in the former Grand Hotel Cannes.
Not much is known about the property yet, but Ennismore says it will be an 11-story, 75-room hotel featuring 3 suites. The hotel will also have meeting and event space, direct access to a nearby shopping district, and a private beach dubbed Hyde Beach Cannes.
You can find Mondrian hotels in metropolitan cities like Doha, London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, New York, and Seoul. And, aside from Mexico and the upcoming opening in Cannes, other future projects include Mondrian hotels in Bordeaux, the Gold Coast in Australia, and Singapore.
