There’s a new, value-for-the-money, Marriott property worth checking out in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

The sleek new Aloft Hotel opened its doors to guests on December 19, 2022.

Here are the details of this exciting new opening.

Aloft Playa Del Carmen Now Open

The Aloft Playa Del Carmen is situated just a few blocks from the beach and Playa Del Carmen’s Fifth Avenue — the heart and soul of the beachside town.

Though, with its 2 infinity pools, you might not even want to leave.

The 167-room hotel joins properties in Tulum and Cancún as the third Aloft property on the Caribbean coast of Mexico.

True to Aloft’s musical brand positioning, the hotel’s amenities include spaces designed to welcome local musicians and artists.

“Aloft’s brand positioning is anchored in three main passion points: music, design, and technology, and we are very excited to bring this concept to one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico,” said Brian King, president of Caribbean and Latin America at Marriott International.

As well the WXYZ bar that you’ll find at other Aloft hotels around the world, guests can sip on music-inspired cocktails at the Re:mix lounge, grab a snack from Re:fuel, or enjoy international cuisine at The Nook restaurant.

There’ll also be a dedicated workspace for digital nomads where they have the use of audio-visual technology, high-speed Wi-Fi, as well as 2 private spaces for joining a video call.

“The Aloft traveler is highly independent and always finding new ways to express themselves and we are inviting them to explore and experience their passions in Playa del Carmen,” said King.

Per-night rates start at around $175 for a non-refundable booking. That’s great value for a property so close to the beach and Playa del Carmen’s famous Fifth Avenue.

Hot Tip: When booking a stay at the new Aloft Playa Del Carmen, we’d recommend using a Marriott Bonvoy credit card to earn a ton of bonus points on your booking. For example, you can earn up to 18.5x points per $1 spent at Marriott Bonvoy hotels when using the Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful™ Credit Card by Chase.

Alternatively, you could always use Marriott Bonvoy points, starting at around 27,000 points per night.

Final Thoughts

A third Aloft has opened its doors on the Caribbean coast of Mexico. The Aloft Playa Del Carmen delivers a fresh and distinctive experience for hotel guests and locals to hang out and enjoy everything that is the Riviera Maya’s coastal resort town of Playa Del Carmen.
