Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card
If you’re a hardcore Marriott loyalist, then you might want to opt for the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card instead.
You’ll earn 6x on all of your Marriott stays as a cardmember, plus 3x points per $1 at restaurants and flights booked directly with airlines, along with 2x points per $1 on all other purchases. Note that the 6x on Marriott stays doesn’t include any additional earnings thanks to status or loyalty.
Its annual fee is much higher than the Marriott Bountiful card, at $650, but with that added cost you’ll receive Marriott Platinum Elite status, Priority Pass lounge access upon enrollment, up to $300 in statement credits per calendar year (up to $25 per month) for eligible purchases at restaurants, 25 Elite Night Credits, and a free night certificate redeemable at any Marriott hotel that costs up to 85,000 points per night (rates and fees).
Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card
Casual travelers that are looking for a card to help enhance their Marriott stays, but aren’t interested in the Marriott Bountiful card with its $250 annual fee, should consider the Marriott Boundless card.
It earns 6x points per $1 on Marriott stays, 3x points per $1 on the first $6,000 spent in combined purchases each year on grocery stores, gas stations, and dining, and 2x points per $1 on all other purchases.
With a more reasonable annual fee of $95, you’ll still receive perks like automatic Silver Elite status, 15 Elite Night Credits each year, and a free night award when you renew your card each year that can be redeemed at Marriott hotels costing up to 35,000 points per night.
