The luxury cruise industry has a new player with the debut of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. This new luxury yacht brand’s first ship, Evrima, set sail on October 15, 2022, on her first voyage.

Let’s take a look at the details of the new Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and how it’s participating in the Marriott Bonvoy program.

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection Is Now Sailing

Fans of the Ritz-Carlton brand will be excited to check out the new luxury yacht, Evrima, which made her debut sailing this month on a journey from Barcelona, Spain to Nice, France.

This 190-meter yacht can accommodate 298 passengers in 149 luxury suites. Every room has a private terrace, floor-to-ceiling windows, a king-sized bed, and double vanity. There are even some 2-story suites onboard for the ultimate in luxury at sea.

Guests will have unique dining options onboard Evrima, including locally-inspired dishes in The Evrima Room, a sushi bar called Talaat Nam, and S.E.A., a program designed by chef Sven Elverfeld of Aqua, a 3-star Michelin restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg. The in-house jazz band and classical musicians are part of the onboard entertainment as are expert-led discussions, and additional partnerships with local artists and musicians.

You might think the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is just for adults, but it’s actually family-friendly. There’s a dedicated space on board for Ritz Kids, the kids’ club for 4-12-year-olds offering activities designed for young travelers with an emphasis on marine conservation.

The yacht’s small size allows her to navigate smaller and more unique ports than a larger cruise ship, offering guests an immersive experience worthy of the Ritz-Carlton name.

Bottom Line: The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection debuted in October 2022, with the inaugural sailing of the brand’s first ship, Evrima.

Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and Marriott Bonvoy

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is participating in the Marriott Bonvoy program, which means guests can earn or redeem Marriott points for luxury cruises, and nights at sea count toward Marriott elite status.

Marriott members will earn 5 points per $1 spent on Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection sailings. Marriott points can be redeemed for discounts on sailing too. Your first 180,000 points will result in a $1,000 discount. After that, increments of 90,000 points can be redeemed for a $500 savings. That results in a value of 0.56 cents per point, which is less than the 0.7 value we assign to Marriott points.

Marriott elite members are also eligible for enhanced benefits based on their status tier including perks like:

  • Marriott Bonvoy elite reception
  • In-suite welcome gift
  • Priority boarding
  • Complimentary laundry

Hot Tip: Earn 75,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points when you book a sailing by October 31, 2022, for select 2023 departures in the Caribbean, Costa Rica, and Panama.

Final Thoughts

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s first ship, Evrima, debuted on October 15, 2022. This new luxury cruise line will be sailing to popular destinations like the Caribbean and the Mediterranean and will offer guests an immersive experience through locally-inspired food and thoughtful shore excursions. Marriott Bonvoy members can earn and redeem Marriott points on Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection sailings.
