Have a Chase Sapphire Reserve® in your wallet? Make sure to sign up for this new promotion. Currently, Chase is offering a 5,000-point Flight Reward Certificate to Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers, which can be used toward any Aeroplan award booking, even if operated by a partner airline.

Let’s take a closer look at how to claim this Flight Reward Certificate and use it for a discount on your next Aeroplan redemption.

Free Air Canada Aeroplan Flight Reward Certificate With Your Chase Sapphire Reserve Card

As mentioned, travelers with a Chase Sapphire Reserve card can register for a free Flight Reward Certificate that’s worth up to 5,000 Aeroplan points towards their next redemption. This promotion doesn’t appear to be targeted, and you can register to receive it using this Air Canada landing page.

You must register for the certificate between August 5 and August 18, 2025. The certificate will be deposited into your account within 14 days and can be redeemed for a 5,000-point discount on any Aeroplan award ticket, regardless of the operating airline.

The form will ask for your name, Aeroplan account number, and the last 4 digits of your Chase Sapphire Reserve card’s account number. Once you successfully enroll, a confirmation will appear on the screen. Note that Upgraded Points team members who enrolled in this promotion did not receive an email notification of successful enrollment.

Enrolling in this promotion is worth it even if you don’t immediately plan to redeem Aeroplan points. I use Aeroplan regularly to book Star Alliance award tickets to Europe, so having a 5,000-point discount is a nice savings on my future bookings.

As a reminder, you can transfer American Express Membership Rewards, Bilt Rewards, Capital One miles, and Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Air Canada Aeroplan. Further, you can transfer Marriott Bonvoy points to Aeroplan at a 3:1 ratio, with a 5,000 Aeroplan point bonus added for every 60,000 Marriott points you transfer.

Final Thoughts

The Chase Sapphire Reserve card is undergoing massive changes, including a swath of new features in exchange for a higher annual fee. Because of this, Chase may be offering promotions like this to cardholders to ease the pain of a $795 annual fee.

Regardless, this promotion is worth enrolling in. It’s effectively a no-strings-attached discount on your next Aeroplan redemption, which I’ve found to be one of Chase’s most valuable transfer partners. Make sure to enroll in the promotion before it expires on August 18, 2025.
