Southwest is showing its passengers “luv” this Valentine’s Day by offering its passengers a complimentary premium drink.

Whether you’re flying from Jackson (JAN) to Orlando (MCO) or Dallas (DAL) to Spokane (GEG) this February 14, you’ll get your pick from Southwest’s premium drinks menu to help get you in the spirit of love.

Southwest Is Getting In the Valentine’s Spirit

If you’re at least 21 years old and flying anywhere in Southwest‘s expansive network on Friday, February 14, you’ll be offered a complimentary premium beverage of your choice. This offer is in addition to the free drink service Southwest Airlines offers every day to all of its passengers, including water, juice, coffee, and soda.

Taking it a step further, the Dallas-based, low-cost airline has also loaded its inflight entertainment system with additional romantic films, including titles such as “Pretty Woman,” “You’ve Got Mail,” and “The Princess Bride” to watch as you wish.

You’re not completely missing out on the freebie if you’re not flying on Valentine’s Day. Southwest also offers complimentary alcoholic drinks on Halloween (October 31), St. Patrick’s Day (March 17), and on its birthday (June 18). If those fit into your travel plans, it could be worth flying on those dates for some extra fun and a freee premium drink.

How To Book Southwest Airlines

If you’ve left it to the last minute to treat your Valentine, then you’ll struggle to get a last-minute bargain for travel this weekend.

However, it’s not too late to visit Southwest Airlines’ website and book your significant other a romantic trip for a date later in the year.

If you manage to find yourself a bargain, we recommend using a travel rewards credit card to book your flights to maximize the value of your purchase.

Plus, Southwest has its own credit cards, and using one of these to pay for your flight could provide up to 4x Southwest points per $1 spent.

Hot Tip:

Frequent Southwest flyers should also absolutely sign up for the airline’s free loyalty program: Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards. From friendly change and cancellation policies to an easy-to-use points program, the program has numerous strengths.

Final Thoughts

Southwest Airlines is treating its passengers — whether they’re taken or single and ready to mingle — to a complimentary premium drink this Valentine’s Day. Cheers!
