Southwest Vacations Launches New Promotion

Southwest Vacations is a platform run by Southwest Airlines specifically for booking vacation packages. Travelers can potentially save big by booking combinations of hotels, flights, rental cars, and various activities using Southwest Vacations.

For some resorts booked using this platform, travelers can expect complimentary food and beverages, entertainment, activities, excursions, and more.

Flights will also include free first and second checked bags, which makes this deal even more enticing. While Southwest will start charging many customers for checked bags starting in May 2025, this perk should remain for those using Southwest Vacations.

There are 2 promo codes for this deal, which lasts through April 7, 2025.

Eligible travel dates last through November 1, 2025, and valid packages must be booked at least 1 day in advance. Here are the details with the 2 promo codes:

While you don’t need to be a Rapid Rewards member to jump on this sale, there are additional benefits for joining. Members can earn extra points on packages, and who doesn’t want more of those?

Make sure to add your membership number to earn those bonus Rapid Rewards points. If you want to maximize savings even further, remember that using a Southwest credit card can provide 2x to 4x points per $1 spent on Southwest purchases, depending on the card you hold.

Is It Worth It?

We took a minute to compare pricing of a vacation package from New York to Honolulu using the Southwest Vacations promo sale, rather than booking the same vacation separately.

If you book through Southwest Vacations using the promo code MARCHSEMIANNUAL250, your flight and hotel for 2 people traveling from New York to Honolulu will cost $4,033.

Members will receive 5,595 points per person by booking with Southwest Vacations. We value Southwest Rapids Rewards points at 1.3 cents each, which means you’ll earn $145.47 worth of points for 2 people.

If you book separately, the same flight and hotel will cost $3,868. While we didn’t calculate the points you’ll earn booking separately, you can already see that it’s better to book direct.
