TAP has long offered a free stopover in Portugal for up to 10 days, encouraging visitors to check out the country, rather than simply flying across the Atlantic en route to somewhere else without leaving the airport. This offer is available on both paid tickets and redemptions through TAP’s Miles&Go program.

Now, TAP is offering a 50% discount on your second stopover — though the 50% discount only applies to the airfare getting you from stopover 1 to stopover 2, to be clear. Travelers can use this discount on routes in the Portuguese mainland or use it to visit for flights from the mainland to islands like Madeira and the Azores.
