TopCashback has long been my favorite cash-back shopping portal. It tends to offer the best rates compared to other cash-back portals, and it includes some more obscure merchants not found on other portals. If TopCashback doesn’t have the best payout for the merchant you shop with, you can even submit a Highest Cash Back Guarantee claim that will match other cash-back portals.

If you’re not already using TopCashback, now’s a good time to sign up. The shopping portal is offering Upgraded Points readers a $15 sign-up bonus after earning their first $10 in cash back.

Read on to discover how to earn this bonus and how to use TopCashback to earn more when you shop online.

Get $15 When You Sign Up for TopCashback

As mentioned, you can earn a $15 bonus if you sign up for a new TopCashback account through our link. You’re awarded this cash-back when you earn your first $10 in cash-back through the portal, which could be as easy as spending $100 through a merchant that awards 10% cash-back on purchases.

TopCashback supports most major merchants, so earning the $15 bonus with your everyday expenses is easy if you regularly shop online. Once you earn the bonus, you can cash it out through PayPal, a bank transfer, or a gift card. Just make sure to sign up soon — this sign-up bonus expires on December 31, 2025.

Hot Tip:

Cash-back earned with TopCashback or another shopping portal is earned in addition to the cash-back or travel rewards you earn with your credit card. Read our guide to the best credit cards for online shopping if you’d like to earn more rewards when you spend money online.

Using TopCashback To Earn When You Shop

Earning with TopCashback is simple. After you sign up for an account, head to the TopCashback homepage and search for the merchant you’d like to shop with using the search bar at the top of the screen. Further, you can browse merchants by category using the toolbar at the center of the screen.

Once you’ve found your merchant, scroll down to see any restrictions that might prevent you from earning cash-back. For example, some electronics stores don’t award cash-back on Apple and Bose products. When you’re ready to shop, click the red “Get Cash Back” button at the center of the page to be redirected to the merchant.

After you make a purchase, the cash-back will be added to your TopCashback account in a few days. You’ll first see the cash-back added as pending, then confirmed, and finally payable. The timeline for cash-back becoming payable depends on the merchant you shop with.

You can track your earnings on the “Earnings” tab that appears when you hover over your balance on the upper right corner of the screen.

You can also use TopCashback’s gift card store to earn cash-back when you buy virtual gift cards to use for in-store or online purchases. The amount of cash-back you earn depends on the merchant from whom you purchase a gift card. For example, at the time of writing, Macy’s gift cards earned 11.7% cash-back, while Home Depot gift cards earned 2.5% cash-back.

You have a handful of options for redeeming the cash-back you earn with TopCashback. The most straightforward is redeeming for cash via PayPal or an ACH transfer to your bank account.

You can also redeem for merchant gift cards or virtual American Express or Visa gift cards. You earn a small bonus — typically between 3% and 5% — when you redeem for a gift card. It usually takes 2 or 3 days for TopCashback to fulfill your award, so plan your redemptions accordingly.

As we mentioned, TopCashback beats cash-back rates from other cash-back portals if they offer a higher return with a specific merchant. Its Highest Cash Back Guarantee program matches rates from BeFrugal, Capital One Shopping, GoCashBack, Honey, MaxRebates, Mr. Rebates, Rakuten, and Tada. Even better, TopCashback gives you an extra 10% on the difference between the TopCashback rate and the competitor’s earn rate.

Final Thoughts

TopCashback is an easy way to earn cash-back on your everyday purchases. Just sign up for an account and click through the portal before you shop online, and you’ll get a percentage of your purchase back. Plus, if you sign up through our link before the end of the year, you can earn a $15 bonus after you earn your first $10 in cash-back through TopCashback.
