The Turkish Airlines lounge at New York-JFK Terminal 1 opened its doors in November 2022 and has officially become a Priority Pass lounge.
As of January 2023, Priority Pass credit card holders can access the lounge — no matter which airline they’re flying with in Terminal 1.
Let’s take a look at the details of JFK’s newest Priority Pass lounge.
Terminal 1 Gets a Fifth Priority Pass Lounge
The Turkish Airlines Lounge at JFK is the newest addition to the airline’s portfolio of lounges in the U.S., joining the ranks of Miami International Airport (MIA) and Washington-Dulles International Airport (IAD).
The lounge is located between gates 2 and 3 and is open daily from 9:45 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Guests may access the lounge for up to 3 hours, though it’s usually rare for time restrictions to be monitored.
As such, a large number of passengers travel through Terminal 1 means that Priority Pass lounges can sometimes be faced with capacity issues. Hopefully, the fifth Priority Pass will alleviate some of those issues with the much-needed lounge capacity at the terminal.
Bottom Line: Priority Pass is a global network of more than 1,400 airport lounges. There are 110+ lounges in the U.S. alone, which you can access by paying for a Priority Pass membership or as a benefit of credit cards such as The Platinum Card® from American Express upon enrollment.
Other Priority Pass lounges at JFK include the Air France Lounge, the Lufthansa Business Lounge, the Korean Air Business Class Lounge, and the Primeclass Lounge.
You’ll fly through JFK’s Terminal 1 if you’re traveling on Air China, Air France, Air New Zealand, Air Serbia, Air Senegal, Asiana Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Azerbaijan Airlines, Azores Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Cayman Airlines, China Eastern, Eastern Airlines, Egypt Air, EVA Air, Flair Airlines, Interjet, ITA Airways, Japan Airlines, Korean Air, Lufthansa, Neos, Norse Atlantic Airways, Philippine Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, Saudi Arabian Airlines, SWISS, Swoop, TAP Air Portugal, Turkish Airlines, Viva Aerobus, or Volaris.
Final Thoughts
Spending time in a lounge before a flight is a favorite pastime of frequent travelers — including the Upgraded Points team.
With that, we’re happy to hear of a new addition to the Priority Pass family and a fifth option for passengers passing through JFK’s busy Terminal 1.
