United To Launch Flights From Denver to Mexico City and Punta Cana

As first reported by Ishrion Aviation on X, United will begin nonstop service from Denver (DEN) to Mexico City and Punta Cana as of October 26, 2025.

Both routes will operate once daily on the Boeing 737 MAX 8 according to the following schedules:

Mexico City

  • Depart Denver (DEN) at 6 p.m. and arrive in Mexico City (MEX) at 9:30 p.m.
  • Depart Mexico City (MEX) at 8:05 a.m. and arrive in Denver (DEN) at 12 p.m.

Punta Cana

  • Depart Denver (DEN) at 9:45 a.m. and arrive in Punta Cana (PUJ) at 5:18 p.m.
  • Depart Punta Cana (PUJ) at 1:05 p.m. and arrive in Denver (DEN) at 5:50 p.m.

United Airlines will be the only carrier to offer nonstop service between Denver and Punta Cana. At the same time, it will face competition from Aeromexico and low-cost carrier Volaris on its new route to Mexico City.

Flights between Denver and Mexico City are blocked at 3.5 hours on the outbound and 3hr 55min on the return. Flights to Punta Cana are significantly longer, with the outbound blocked at 5hr 33min and the return at a whopping 6hr 45min.

Tickets are on sale now at United.com and through the airline’s mobile app (iOS, Android). However, the new flights don’t look to be fully loaded into Google Flights at this time, so if you’re looking to book immediately, you’ll want to head directly to United channels to do so.

At the time of writing, round-trip economy fares to Mexico City are priced at $643 round-trip for a 4-night trip in the first week of the flight’s operation. A 4-night trip to Punta Cana on the same dates, meanwhile, costs $780 round-trip in economy. Both of these fares are for main cabin, not basic economy, tickets.

If you’re paying cash for tickets, remember to use a credit card that offers bonus points for travel purchases.

Final Thoughts

United Airlines continues expanding in Denver with the addition of 2 international routes to a pair of very popular destinations. It’ll be the sole carrier offering nonstop flights between Denver and Punta Cana, but it will face off against 2 Mexican carriers (one of them low-cost) on flights to Mexico City.

Something tells us these routes will be a hit, and we look forward to seeing what United has up its sleeve for further additions from the rapidly growing airport.
