New research from United indicates that nearly three-quarters of Americans surveyed say booking a plane ticket to a new destination brings them happiness. In a month when many are fighting the winter blues, United has launched a limited-time promotion it calls “National Plan for Vacation Day” to encourage travelers to make vacation plans look forward to.

United MileagePlus members can receive 2x bonus miles on January 28 only when booking a trip from the U.S. to several international destinations. United is the only domestic airline providing service from the U.S. to these far-flung locales.

2x Miles to 25 International Destinations

When booking economy class flights with promo code PVAC25 via United.com or the United app to any of 25 international destinations, you’re eligible to earn extra MileagePlus miles on your travel. The calculation is done as 2x your eligible fare. Flights must be booked today for travel by November 15, 2025.
