Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

United Airlines is offering a flash sale on award flights to Asia exclusive for those who hold a United credit card — but you’ll need to act quickly.

If you book by the end of the day on October 17, 2024, you can score flights to Asia starting at 35,000 MileagePlus miles one-way, plus taxes and fees from $39.

Here’s everything you should know about United’s latest flash sale!

United’s Flash Sale to Asia

This flash sale is valid for round-trip award tickets purchased by October 17, 2024, for travel by February 25, 2025.

The deal is only valid for those who hold a United MileagePlus credit card, and the eligible destinations are available for 35,000 miles per person in economy:

  • Hong Kong (HKG)
  • Osaka (KIX)
  • Tokyo-Haneda (HND)
  • Tokyo-Narita (NRT)
  • Taipei (TPE)

Here are several other details you’ll want to be aware of before booking:

  • Primary cardholders must log in using their MileagePlus number to book awards.
  • There is no limit to the number of award tickets booked.
  • The promotion applies to new award bookings only.
  • The promotional rate is valid for award tickets from all mainland U.S. airports.
  • Tickets must be purchased by October 17, 2024.
  • Travel must be completed between October 16, 2024, and February 25, 2025.
  • There may be blackout dates on some routes.
  • Promotional fares are valid in the economy cabin on United and United Express flights.

You can book your tickets and view the terms and conditions in full on the dedicated promotion page.

Cash options for these flights during the promotion dates cost between $430 and $600 one-way, meaning you’d get 1.23 to 1.71 cents per mile in value. Those numbers are above our valuation of United MileagePlus miles at 1.2 cents per mile.

Remember, even if you don’t have a healthy stash of United MileagePlus miles in your account, you can earn them easily, thanks to the program’s partnership with Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Rewards. You can transfer Chase and Bilt points at a 1:1 ratio into your United account.

Hot Tip:

Final Thoughts

If eastern Asia has been on your mind, today’s a great day to book your flights for just 35,000 miles each way, as long as you can travel before February 25, 2025.

If you’re thinking of getting in on this deal, make sure you book within the next 24 hours!
