United has treated its cobranded cardholders to an early 2025 surprise by offering discounted award tickets this week. The final destination in the series is London, a popular destination and a great starting point for exploring Europe.

For today only, United cobranded cardholders can book tickets from 25,000 miles each way, plus taxes and fees.

Let’s take a look at all there is to know!

United’s Mystery Destination Promotion

For the past week, those who have a United cobranded credit card have been able to book discounted award tickets to specific European destinations.

London is the final destination for today, January 10, 2025. If you have a United cobranded credit card, you can book economy tickets from 25,000 United MileagePlus miles each way, plus taxes and fees. The travel period is from January 12 through April 3, 2025.

Although this isn’t exactly the best deal going since a typical economy ticket from the U.S. to Europe costs between 30,000 and 40,000 MileagePlus miles each way, a deal is a deal, and we’ll never say no to saving our miles!

Note that these deals are only valid for those who hold a United MileagePlus credit card. And there are a few other terms and conditions to be aware of before you rush to book your flights:

  • Taxes and fees for flights between the U.S. and London start at $202.41 for a round-trip ticket.
  • Pricing applies only to the primary cardholder.
  • There are no blackout dates, no advance purchase requirement, and no minimum or maximum stay requirements.
  • Primary cardholders must log in using their MileagePlus number to book awards.
  • The promotion applies to new award bookings only.
  • The promotional rate is valid for award tickets from all mainland U.S. airports.

You can book your tickets and view the terms and conditions in full on the dedicated promotion page.

Remember, even if you don’t have a healthy stash of United MileagePlus miles in your account, you can easily earn them, thanks to the program’s partnership with Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Rewards. You can transfer Chase and Bilt points at a 1:1 ratio into your United account.

Hot Tip:

Learn all about what it’s like to fly the carrier in our full review of United Airlines, which dives into its fleet, seat types, fees you should expect, and more.

Final Thoughts

If you have some miles in your MileagePlus (or your Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards) account, here’s a great opportunity to book United flights to London at a discount. However, you’ll need to move fast, as this final destination is only on sale for 24 hours.
