New Unscripted by Hyatt Brand To Debut on December 1 With 6 Hotels in Vietnam

Hyatt announced a new brand at the end of May 2025, and we haven’t heard much about Unscripted by Hyatt since then. Now, we know the first 6 hotels in this new brand will join the World of Hyatt program on December 1, 2025.

We didn’t expect to see this brand launch in Vietnam, but that’s the surprising news in this announcement. As expected, the first hotels joining the Unscripted by Hyatt brand are existing properties, as this is a conversion-friendly brand in Hyatt’s portfolio.

Here’s what you should know about the Wink Hotels brand in Vietnam and its upcoming transition to the Hyatt portfolio.

Unscripted by Hyatt Incorporating 6 Wink Hotels on December 1

If you check the locations map at Hyatt.com, you’ll now see 6 Unscripted by Hyatt properties — all found in Vietnam. Unscripted by Hyatt was announced in May as a conversion-friendly brand for independent hotels that wish to join the World of Hyatt umbrella without compromising their independent character.

Enter Wink Hotels, a brand that describes itself as having a chic vibe, “creative design, deep functionality, and traditional Vietnamese values.” There are currently 7 Wink Hotels open in Vietnam. Currently, 6 of them are displayed on Hyatt’s location map, although the Hanoi location isn’t.

If you click on any of these properties on Hyatt’s website, you’ll see a message saying that Wink Hotels will join the Unscripted by Hyatt brand on December 1, 2025. That said, it’s still not possible to book any of these hotels through Hyatt’s website or mobile app, at least as of the time of publication.

Once these properties join Hyatt’s portfolio and start participating in the World of Hyatt program, you’ll be able to earn and redeem Hyatt points on stays and enjoy any benefits from your World of Hyatt status.

Understanding Wink Hotels and the Unscripted by Hyatt Brand

When Hyatt announced its Unscripted brand earlier this year, the hotel chain stated that it was in talks with more than 40 properties to join the Unscripted by Hyatt program. That means we should start seeing other additions in the near future. Will that include the Wink Hotels location in Hanoi? We aren’t sure.

Moreover, we still don’t know how many points you’ll earn on these stays. We also don’t know which World of Hyatt award category these properties are being assigned to, so we don’t know how many points it will cost to spend a night at any of them.

However, we do know that Unscripted by Hyatt is showing on the Brand Explorer checklist, which we assumed it would at the time of the original announcement.

Final Thoughts

On December 1, 2025, Unscripted by Hyatt will acquire its first 6 hotels by incorporating 6 of the 7 Wink Hotels properties in Vietnam. We don’t know when any other properties will join Unscripted by Hyatt, and we also don’t know why the Hanoi property from Wink Hotels isn’t listed on Hyatt’s site yet.
