WestJet is planning ahead for 2024 and has announced the launch of 4 new transborder services between the U.S. and Canada.

The routes will start from April 28, 2024, and are focused on providing more connectivity to the western Canadian cities of Edmonton, Alberta, and Vancouver, British Columbia.

“We are thrilled to be expanding transborder connectivity from Edmonton and Vancouver, providing Western Canadians with an abundance of opportunity to fulfill their diverse travel needs,” said John Weatherill, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at WestJet.

Here are the details of WestJet’s new routes that will connect more of the U.S. and Canada starting next year.

WestJet’s New Transborder Routes

Calgary-based WestJet is doubling down on the west of the country by launching 3 new services to the U.S. from Edmonton (YEG) and a fourth new service from Vancouver (YVR).

Not only that, but the 3 services from Edmonton to Atlanta, Edmonton to Nashville, and Vancouver to Detroit are currently unserved by any airline, meaning WestJet will be providing unique connectivity between the city pairs.

The table below details each of the routes’ start dates, flight times, and frequencies:

Hot Tip:

Whether you’ve flown the airline or not, we’d advise getting up to speed on WestJet’s baggage fee policy to avoid any unplanned charges at the airport.

Final Thoughts

Thanks to WestJet, those living in and around Atlanta, Detroit, Edmonton, Nashville, and Vancouver have brand-new nonstop destinations to look forward to visiting from the start of aviation’s summer season in 2024.

We look forward to WestJet’s continued transborder route network.
