Thompson Hotels is turning 25. To celebrate, its corporate parent (Hyatt) is offering double World of Hyatt points on stays at the brand for a limited time.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Hyatt acquired Thompson Hotels several years ago. Since then, it’s become a favorite among World of Hyatt members. The brand turns 25 this year, and the chain wants to celebrate the milestone by awarding members with bonus points for stays.

Register for this new promotion via the World of Hyatt mobile app to earn 2x bonus points at Thompson Hotels properties between now and November 10, 2026.

All Thompson properties are participating in this promotion, but note that you must be registered and have an account in good standing to qualify for bonus-point earning. You can earn a maximum of 30,000 bonus points with this promotion. Importantly, stays must be made via the World of Hyatt mobile app (iOS, Android) to be eligible. Finally, note that if you’ve booked a stay via the app at a Thompson property and it falls within the promo window, you’ll earn bonus points as long as you register for the promotion before your stay is complete.

Is It Worth It?

We value World of Hyatt points at 1.4 cents apiece, meaning if you were to maximize the promotion and earn the full 30,000 points, they’d be worth $420. That’s a decent haul, but Thompson properties can be pricey, depending on the location, so you’ll want to shop around for rates. If there’s a much better rate at another property, it’s likely not worth going out of your way to book a Thompson to earn the bonus points from this promotion.

Remember, too, that there are several great ways to earn World of Hyatt points. The chain offers a couple of co-branded credit cards, each of which features a generous welcome bonus offer and elevated earnings on Hyatt purchases. Also, you can transfer points from Chase Ultimate Rewards at a 1:1 or 4:3 ratio, depending on which card(s) you hold, and from Bilt Rewards at a 1:1 ratio.
