In early October, I visited Omega Mart, Meow Wolf’s second permanent installation after the original House of Eternal Return in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Inside the Area15 interactive art and entertainment complex off the Las Vegas Strip, Omega Mart offers an engaging and unusual experience.

The installation starts as a surreal grocery store but quickly spirals into a great, mysterious world with hidden passageways and mind-bending art. This immersive, interactive space blends quirky humor, a compelling storyline, and stunning visual art, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to enter a universe where reality constantly shifts.

See what makes Meow Wolf Las Vegas memorable and peek into what you can see and experience at Omega Mart and beyond.

Visiting Meow Wolf Las Vegas

Here’s what you need to know about visiting Meow Wolf Las Vegas.

Hours

Meow Wolf Las Vegas hours are:

  • Monday through Thursday: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Tickets

It’s best to purchase your tickets ahead of your visit. Even if you don’t buy your ticket early, you should check the ticketing page before you go. There, you can see if the time slot you want is sold out, if there are still tickets available, and whether there are special events, such as adult nights for those 21 and up after 7 p.m.

Hot Tip:

Area15, where Meow Wolf Las Vegas is, requires a pass to enter the main building. If you prepurchase your Omega Mart tickets or have passes to another Area15 attraction, you can use those. Otherwise, you need an Area15 pass, such as a free Area15 Access Level 0 pass, to get into the facility.

Omega Mart ticket prices depend on the date and time you visit.

General admission timed tickets start at $45 for adults or $25 for children 4 to 12 and active duty or veteran servicemembers. Nevada resident tickets start at $44 with a valid ID. You can buy a collector ticket for $10 or a Totally Worth It Bundle for $15, including a collector ticket, lanyard, and exclusive souvenir pin.

With timed tickets, plan to visit about 5 to 10 minutes ahead of your time slot. Running more than 30 minutes late? Your entry may depend on capacity when you arrive.

Various VIP experiences are available, including a $99 VIP package that allows you to arrive any time on the date you choose, VIP entry, a collector ticket with lanyard, souvenir pin, beverage at the on-site bar Datamosh, and 15% off a $50 or more gift shop purchase. There’s also an Omega Quest enhanced experience for $129, which includes a detailed scavenger hunt of Omega Mart and features many of the same perks as the VIP package.

Another option is choosing an Area15 experience pass, which bundles attractions and experiences within Area15. For example, Access Level 1 tickets are $49 per guest and offer up to 8 attractions in 1 day. Access Level 4 can be used for up to 3 days to access all areas of Area15 for $225 per guest.

If you want to see Meow Wolf and other attractions, an Area15 experience pass can save you money.
Hot Tip:

Pay for your Meow Wolf Las Vegas tickets with one of the best credit cards for entertainment, and you can earn bonus credit card rewards. For example, the Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit CardInformation collected independently. Not reviewed by Capital One. earns 3% cash-back on entertainment and dining.

Portal Pass

Planning a few visits to Omega Mart? You can get an annual Portal Pass that gives you unlimited general admission for a year. Passes start at $99 for adults and $84 for kids. Adults 21 and up get complimentary Night Shift access. All passholders get 10% off extra general admission tickets, gift shop merch, and food and beverages.

An Omega Mart Portal Pass is only good for complimentary admission at Meow Wolf Las Vegas, but you can use your pass for a 10% discount on tickets to other Meow Wolf locations.

Traveling to Meow Wolf Las Vegas

Meow Wolf Las Vegas is in a convenient location for travelers. It’s just off the Las Vegas Strip, which is only about 2 miles away, depending on where you’re coming from on the Strip.

Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is about 5 miles away (about 15 minutes by car), and numerous hotels are nearby. Some of the closest hotels to Meow Wolf Las Vegas are Club Wyndham Desert Blue, Resorts World Las Vegas, Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, and Rio Hotel and Casino.

Hot Tip:

Not sure where to stay for a visit to Meow Wolf Las Vegas? See our guide to the best Las Vegas hotels to book with points for maximum value.

Omega Mart’s location is close to many other Las Vegas attractions, including attractions on the Las Vegas Strip, Fremont Street, and beyond. It’s worth sticking around Area15, where Omega Mart is located, for virtual reality experiences, rides, games, art, and more.

How Long To Visit

Plan to arrive at Meow Wolf Las Vegas at least an hour before closing, but we recommend planning on a 3 to 4 hour visit so you can fully explore the space and interact with some of the elements. You may want more time if you’d like to visit the bar, Datamosh. It’s a good idea to take breaks, as the experience can be physically and mentally tiring.

Accessibility, Diversity, and Inclusion

Omega Mart welcomes all guests and is an LGBTQ+ safe space. It’s ADA-compliant and accessible. It’s a 2-story exhibit, and your options for getting upstairs include a rope climb, stairs, or an elevator. Typically, every area can be accessed in various ways depending on your abilities, but most of the exhibit can be navigated by a wheelchair, scooter, walker, or crutches.

Areas with unusual lighting effects have signs at the entrance.

Visitors with low vision or blindness or those who are hard of hearing can get assistive devices from Meow Wolf. The exhibit can provide information about low-sensory rooms for visitors with sensory sensitivity, and sensory items, including sunglasses and noise-canceling headphones, are available for checkout. You can request additional accessibility accommodations by email.

Family Friendly

We found Meow Wolf Las Vegas family friendly, as our 3 school-age kids enjoyed diving into all the interactive experiences. They shopped the unusual produce in Omega Mart, mashed buttons to activate new light patterns on the factory floor, investigated computers and journals, and generally marveled at everything there was to take in.

Visitors with young children should keep in mind that strollers aren’t permitted inside the exhibit, so you need to carry kids who can’t walk. Some kids might find the majorly sensory experience overwhelming, though you can pick up noise-canceling headphones and sunglasses at the bag check counter to help with that.

The washer slide at the Real Unreal at Meow Wolf Grapevine was a favorite feature among my kids. At Omega Mart, they loved the rock wall climb to the second floor in one of the monolith dwellings.

Getting In

Meow Wolf Las Vegas is at 3215 S Rancho Dr. #100 within the Area15 entertainment complex. There is a large parking lot near the entrance, and we had no trouble finding a spot. A ride-share drop-off and pick-up zone is near the entrance.

Before you get into Area15, you pass through a security screening. Area15 has a code of conduct that prohibits weapons, outside food or drinks, illegal substances, and animals, except for trained service animals. At the screening (under shade with fans for some relief from the Las Vegas heat), you go through a bag check and metal detector and show your entrance pass — either a ticket to an attraction within Area15 such as Meow Wolf or an Area15 experience pass.

Inside Area15, you’re hit with darkness and neon lights with shops and attractions throughout the space. Head to the left as you enter, and you’ll see the bright yellow omega doorway on the left wall — where you want to be to enter Omega Mart.

At the omega door, there’s a line where you wait your turn to get in and get your pass scanned. A box office window connects to the bag check inside if you need to purchase tickets.

While in line, you can read the warnings and learn about guest expectations for the code of conduct, including prohibited items.

Guests with regular tickets can enter the exhibit after being scanned in. If you have a bag to check, want to pick up items from a special ticket, such as a lanyard or pin, or need to pick up sensory assistance items, such as headphones, you can head to the bag check counter.

There is a code of conduct for Meow Wolf Las Vegas guests. Guests are generally required to respect fellow guests and Meow Wolf staff, and you can’t visit the exhibit while visibly intoxicated.

You can’t bring outside food or drinks to Meow Wolf Las Vegas, but you can bring an empty water bottle to fill inside the exhibit.

Restrooms

There were 2 sets of restrooms at Meow Wolf Las Vegas. The first was in Omega Mart past the bag check.

Gift Shop

With a store as part of the exhibit, Meow Wolf Las Vegas blended Omega Mart with a gift shop. Some of the shelves and coolers within Omega Mart featured products you can pick up and purchase — and there was an obvious gift shop area near the checkout counter.

What looked like bags of chips were pillows you can buy.

Other shelves featured warm drinks (also available cold from a working cooler), hot sauce, candy, souvenir pins, and more.

Drinks available at Meow Wolf Las Vegas include Omega Mart brands such as Gender Fluid and real-world brands such as Liquid Death.

We picked out a few drinks from the cooler: lavender-lemon Gender Fluid sparkling water, Future Fantasy Delight prickly pear soda, and Bril Chem grape soda. We liked all of them!

A more traditional gift shop was separate from Omega Mart and had an Area15 entrance. This gift shop sold Omega Mart items as well as apparel, pins, and more.

Meow Wolf Las Vegas Experience

Hot Tip:

Spoilers ahead! If you prefer to be surprised by Omega Mart, stop here (and thanks for reading)! Read on if you want a more detailed preview, including hints and tips to make the most of your experience.

Meow Wolf Las Vegas started in Omega Mart. At first glance, this surreal grocery store had all the markings of a regular grocery store, with fluorescent lighting, numbered aisles filled with products, and brightly colored advertisements. But then we noticed the chicken was tattooed, the avocados had dice in the pit, and everything was off-kilter from reality.

Omega Mart could definitely be mistaken for a normal grocery store, but it doesn’t take long to see nothing is quite right.

On aisle 4, we could pick up a tattoo chicken (a plush item for sale), emergency clams, and juice. There was also aisle signage for “aspirational” and “spontaneous” without explanation.

It was a delight to look at all the product labels with clever wordplay, like organic rose beef described as a beefy flower.

Pet food labels mentioned Meow Wolf, but the contents of lonely hiker protein and pigeon mousse were questionable.

Some Omega Mart signage sounded like poor translations or bad AI, like the meat counter, “where family meats freedom.”

An odd sign at the Omega Mart meat counter.

Within the meat counter were unusual meats, like the tattooed chickens and seemingly whole spaghetti brains.

My family found the produce especially entertaining, like the fresh “avokoidos” — avocados with koi in the pit and “lucky avocados” with dice.

Avocado prices are out of control these days.

Numerous signs and product labels encouraged us to wake up as if stuck in a bad dream.

Other areas had obvious glitches, like the dairy cooler with stretched-out product labels and pricing.

As we arrived at Omega Mart, we were encouraged to press every button and open every door. There were openings throughout Omega Mart that led to other spaces, such as the factory floor.

A walk through the cooler leads beyond Omega Mart.

We picked up a “boop” card at the store’s Omega Access Kiosk. Tapping the card at various terminals in Omega Mart and other exhibit areas opened interactive videos and games that clued us into more of the story.

Using a boop card in Omega Mart.

How did this weird grocery store come to be? As we headed into spaces beyond Omega Mart, like the factory floor and Seven Monolith Village, we got more clues to the bigger picture story. Omega Mart’s story was largely about the family behind the megacorporation Dramcorp and how the corporation had exploited a cosmic energy source known as the Source.

After our first pass through Omega Mart, we landed in the Alpha Service mechanic station office. The mechanic’s office belonged to one of the characters, and reading the materials inside gave us our first major clues to the story of Meow Wolf Las Vegas.

Outside the Alpha Service mechanic station.

The service station was one of the structures inside Seven Monolith Village. The village rock walls featured projected art that changed frequently.

Hot Tip:

Seven Monolith Village seems like a nod to the colorful Seven Magical Mountains desert art installation in nearby Clark County, Nevada. If you’re in Las Vegas, you can visit both!

A city-limit sign between the village and factory floor signaled a dwindling population. It was surrounded by numerous mailboxes, most of which contained mail you could read.

It’s not a federal offense to open Meow Wolf exhibit mail.

Seven Monolith Village was the most appealing space in Meow Wolf Las Vegas. A stark contrast from Omega Mart’s harsh lighting and cringey signage, the village had layered rock walls bathed in glowing lights, cozy dwellings to explore, and a stream of the Source running through it.

Beyond the service shop, the main exploration areas in the village were the dwellings.

These small rooms had characters’ personal items, including computers with messages offering insight into the story.

Some objects added to character development, such as these specimen jars that told us about a character’s experiments.

Another small dwelling nearby had another computer, journals, and a passageway to the next floor.

Like the other dwelling, this one gave us more information about the characters and the village’s resistance to Dramcorp activities.

The factory floor was next to the village and was 2 stories high. It had numerous interactive elements that offered more information about Dramcorp operations.

Upstairs in the factory, there were more spaces to explore, including artist rooms.

My kids enjoyed “portaling” through this factory tunnel passageway.

Next to the factory upstairs were the Dramcorp offices, which had workspaces for investigating and vignettes of information to absorb.

A corporate portrait-lined hallway in the office had several doors with experiential rooms, including one with funhouse-like mirrored walls.

Many of the most interesting rooms were upstairs in the offices and factory.

Food and Drink

Meow Wolf Las Vegas didn’t allow outside food or drinks (though you could bring in and fill an empty water bottle). However, there were beverages, candy, nuts, and other edible items for sale in Omega Mart. Next to the store was the Meow Wolf Las Vegas bar, Datamosh. This was a good space to relax and refresh if you needed a break from exploring the exhibit, but only if you were 21 or older — adults only.
