The Capital One Venture X Business Card offers competitive airport lounge benefits across 3 major networks. This page tracks how lounge access policies for the card have evolved since its launch in 2023.

What started as a relatively open benefit structure has grown more complex over time, with notable adjustments affecting guests, employee cards, and network access. Here’s a full breakdown from launch through 2026.

As of 2026

The Capital One Venture X Business card currently provides access to the following lounge networks:

The Priority Pass benefit also provides indirect access to many Plaza Premium Lounge locations that are part of the Priority Pass network.

That said, lounge access policies have become more restrictive since the card launched. Guests now cost $45 per adult or $25 per child 17 and under to enter Capital One Lounges or Capital One Landings, unless the primary cardholder meets a $75,000 annual spending threshold.1 Children under 2 always enter for free with an eligible cardholder.

Capital One Venture X Business Card Lounge Access Change History

The card that would eventually become the Capital One Venture X Business card first launched in mid-2022 under the name Capital One Spark Travel Elite. The Capital One Spark Travel Elite card was positioned as a business travel card with a strong lounge benefit, coming at a time when Capital One Lounges were still a relatively new concept in the premium card space.

From the start, the card offered access to 3 networks: Capital One Lounge, Capital One Landing, and participating Priority Pass locations after enrollment. With proprietary Capital One locations alongside the third-party Priority Pass network, business travelers had a solid lounge access footprint across U.S. and international airports.

In September 2023, Capital One rebranded the card as the Capital One Venture X Business card, aligning it with the consumer-facing Venture family of cards. The lounge benefits carried over in full, with no changes made to access at the time of the rebrand.

September 2023 to March 2025

Following the rebrand, lounge access remained unchanged for roughly 18 months. Cardholders had straightforward access to Capital One Lounges, Capital One Landings, and (after enrolling) participating Priority Pass locations, including Priority Pass restaurants, spas, and other experiences besides lounges available through that network.

There were no guest fees or employee card fees, though these additional cardholders didn’t have lounge access independently. The card’s lounge portfolio was built around Capital One’s growing proprietary network, complemented by the broad reach of participating Priority Pass locations.

March 2025

On March 1, 2025, Capital One ended direct access to Plaza Premium Lounges for Capital One Venture X Business cardholders, removing Plaza Premium Lounges from the card’s lounge benefit as a standalone network.

Cardholders didn’t lose all access to Plaza Premium Lounge properties, however. Many Plaza Premium Lounge locations participate in the Priority Pass network independently, so cardholders enrolled in Priority Pass can still access qualifying locations — just through Priority Pass rather than a direct Capital One relationship. The practical impact depends on which specific locations a cardholder visits and whether those properties participate in Priority Pass.

October 2025

On October 31, 2025, Capital One Venture X Business cardholders lost access to nonlounge experiences through Priority Pass, including restaurants, spas, nap rooms, and similar amenities that had previously been accessible under the membership. From that date, Priority Pass access was limited to traditional airport lounges only.2

The change aligned Capital One with a broader industry trend. Several major card issuers had already implemented similar restrictions on their Priority Pass memberships, narrowing the benefit to lounge access specifically.

February 2026

The most significant round of lounge access changes for the Capital One Venture X Business card arrived in February 2026, with updates that touched 3 distinct areas of the benefit: guest access at Capital One properties, guest access within participating Priority Pass lounges, and lounge access for employee cardholders.

Capital One Lounges and Capital One Landings: Guest Fees

Complimentary guest access to Capital One Lounges and Capital One Landings ended with this update. Primary cardholders looking to bring guests are now charged $45 per adult or $25 per child age 17 and under per visit.3

To gain complimentary guest privileges, the primary cardholder must spend at least $75,000 on the card within a calendar year. Hitting that threshold unlocks the ability to bring up to 2 guests into Capital One Lounges and 1 guest into Capital One Landings at no additional cost. Children under 2 enter for free with an eligible cardholder, regardless of spending level.

Priority Pass: Guest Access

As part of the February 2026 update, Capital One made changes to the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card but maintained guest access within participating Priority Pass lounges for Capital One Venture X Business cardholders after enrollment. Primary cardholders can bring up to 2 guests into participating Priority Pass lounges per visit.

This gives cardholders flexibility within the network, even as access to certain experiences within that network has narrowed in recent years.

Employee Cards: Lounge Access

The February 2026 update also changed how lounge access works for employee cards. Prior to this change, employee cards added to the Capital One Venture X Business account didn’t have lounge access in any form. Now there’s an option: The primary account holder can pay $125 annually per employee card to unlock lounge access for those cardholders.

For businesses that had added multiple employee cards to take advantage of lounge access, this change added real cost to maintaining the benefit.

Hot Tip:

The Capital One Venture X Business card has many benefits. Our guide can teach you how to use all of them.

Final Thoughts

The Capital One Venture X Business card still delivers a solid airport lounge footprint for business travelers, anchored by Capital One’s proprietary lounges and access to participating Priority Pass lounges after enrollment. However, the lounge access rules look considerably different today than they did at the card’s launch. Guest fees, employee card fees for lounge access, and network removals have added real complexity to what was once a more open benefit.

As airport lounge demand has increased across the industry, tighter policies have followed. The Capital One Venture X Business card is hardly alone in tightening its rules. For cardholders who relied on the more open access of 2023, the changes are worth understanding in full.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring guests into Capital One Lounges and Landings with the Venture X Business card?

Not automatically, no. Cardholders must spend at least $75,000 in annual purchases with their card to get complimentary guest privileges. Otherwise, you must pay $45 per adult guest and $25 per guest ages 2 to 17.

Does the Capital One Venture X Business card have Priority Pass?

Yes, cardholders can enroll for Priority Pass with their card at no additional cost to access participating lounges.

What can I access with the Capital One Venture X Business card's Priority Pass membership?

Cardholders can enroll for Priority Pass and then bring up to 2 guests when visiting participating airport lounges. However, nonlounge experiences aren’t included in this membership. That excludes Priority Pass restaurants, nap pods, massages, and other experiences.

What are the current Capital One Lounge access rules?

Those with the Capital One Venture X card and Capital One Venture X Business card get unlimited, complimentary visits to the lounge. These cardholders can bring up to 2 guests into the lounge if they unlock guest privileges by spending at least $75,000 annually on their card. Those with the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card or Capital One Spark Miles for Business can pay a reduced rate of $45 to enter. Access to the lounges is also available to the general public at a rate of $90 per visit. There’s no charge for children under 2 when they’re accompanied by an eligible adult.
