The Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ is the new kid on the block in the premium travel card space, with airport lounge access as a core benefit.

This guide tracks how the card’s lounge access has evolved since the launching in June 2025. Though the benefit started strong, policies and access details have already begun to change through 2026.

Here’s an analysis of the previous rules and comparisons with today’s policies.

As of 2026

As of 2026, the Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card offers lounge access through a combination of Priority Pass and Chase’s own Sapphire Lounge network.

Here’s a snapshot of current lounge access:

  • Priority Pass Select membership (upon enrollment), with access to over 1,800 lounges worldwide (Source: Priority Pass)
  • Complimentary entry to Sapphire Lounge by The Club locations
  • Guest access, though policies vary by lounge network
  • No direct access to airline-operated lounges like Delta Sky Club or Admirals Club without separate eligibility

Priority Pass is still the main way cardholders get into lounges, but Sapphire Lounges are quickly becoming the standout perk. One thing to keep in mind: Unlike some cards in the past, this version of Priority Pass doesn’t include restaurants or other nonlounge experiences (Source: Chase).

Chase Sapphire Reserve Business Card Lounge Access Change History

The Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card officially launched on June 23, 2025, marking Chase’s entry into the ultrapremium business travel card space (Source: Chase). Lounge access was included from the start, built around Priority Pass and enhanced by Chase’s growing Sapphire Lounge network.

Since the card is still pretty new, its lounge access history is short but meaningful — starting with its 2025 debut and continuing through a handful of early tweaks into 2026.

June 2025 (Launch) to Late 2025

At the card’s launch in June 2025, lounge access for the Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card closely mirrored the premium experience offered on the consumer Chase Sapphire Reserve®.

Priority Pass (Launch Policies)

Cardholders received a Priority Pass Select membership upon enrollment, which included:

  • Unlimited lounge visits for the primary cardholder
  • Guest access (typically up to 2 guests per visit, depending on lounge rules)
  • Access to traditional Priority Pass lounges worldwide

However, unlike earlier generations of premium cards, restaurant access through Priority Pass was not included at launch. This reflected a broader industry shift away from dining credits in favor of managing costs and reducing overcrowding.

Sapphire Lounge by The Club Access

At launch, cardholders also received:

  • Complimentary access to all Sapphire Lounge by The Club locations
  • Access regardless of airline or cabin class
  • Entry with a same-day boarding pass

These lounges offered a more premium experience than typical Priority Pass lounges, with upgraded food, beverages, and workspaces.

Hot Tip:

At launch in July 2025, the Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card offered more than just Priority Pass — cardholders also got access to Sapphire Lounge by The Club locations, adding a more premium lounge right from the start. If you’re wondering exactly which lounges you can access now, you can find a complete breakdown in our guide “Which Airport Lounges Can I Access With the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card?

Late 2025 to Early 2026

After its June 2025 launch, lounge access for the Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card didn’t change much right away — but a few early tweaks started to show up as more cardholders began using the benefit.

As Sapphire Lounges by The Club got busier, guest policies became more defined. In most cases, complimentary access was capped at 2 guests, with additional guests costing extra depending on the lounge (Source: Chase). Guests also had to be traveling the same day as the cardholder.

At the same time, higher demand meant lounges had to manage crowding more closely. Some locations introduced waitlists during peak hours, and entry could be limited due to capacity constraints. Cardholders were also encouraged to stop by closer to their departure time rather than arriving too early.

None of these were major changes, but they were early signs of a more structured approach to combat overcrowding.

Current Policies in 2026

As of today, the Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card delivers a straightforward, 2-part lounge access setup built around Priority Pass and Chase’s own Sapphire Lounge network.

Cardholders receive Priority Pass Select membership (upon enrollment), which provides access to a large network of lounges worldwide. On top of that, they can also visit Sapphire Lounge by The Club, which tends to offer a more premium experience.

In most cases, access includes:

  • Complimentary entry for the primary cardholder
  • Limited complimentary guest access (typically up to 2 guests)

Keep in mind that while you can bring up to 2 guests for complimentary access, additional guests cost around $27 per person at a Sapphire Lounge by The Club, so families and larger groups need to pay extra for entry (Source: Chase).

Since the card launched in June 2025, the overall structure hasn’t changed much, but a few details have become more defined as usage has increased. Guest policies are now more clearly enforced, and some lounges have introduced capacity controls during busy periods.

At the same time, the Sapphire Lounge network has continued to expand, giving cardholders more options beyond traditional Priority Pass lounges.

Final Thoughts

The Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card launched on June 23, 2025, with a solid lounge access setup built around Priority Pass and Sapphire Lounges. Since then, the core structure hasn’t really changed, but there have been early tweaks — mainly to clarify guest rules and manage crowding.

It hasn’t had years to evolve, like some older premium cards, but the direction is already pretty clear: Lounge access is getting more structured as demand continues to rise. Even so, the mix of broad Priority Pass coverage and a growing Sapphire Lounge network keeps the card competitive in 2026.
