There’s a new targeted promotion to earn 100,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points — and it doesn’t involve applying for a new credit card.

Existing Chase cardholders may receive emails or targeted promotions within their online Chase accounts to earn 100,000 points with a new mortgage. Here’s exactly how it works.

By applying for a new mortgage with Chase to purchase a home, you may be eligible to receive 100,000 bonus Ultimate Rewards points added to your eligible Chase Ultimate Rewards account.

This targeted promotion is available to select existing Chase Freedom and Sapphire credit cardholders. In my case, the offer appeared on my Chase Sapphire Preferred^® Card account. I also received both promotional emails and a targeted offer displayed in the sidebar of my Chase account.

The current promotion is valid through July 7, 2026, and you’ll need to meet multiple eligibility criteria before the 100,000 bonus points post to your account.

First, you must submit a complete mortgage application by that date and close and fund the loan by September 30, 2026. If you meet all of these terms, you should see the promotional bonus points added to your Ultimate Rewards account within 8 to 10 weeks after closing.

The promotion is limited to new Chase mortgages for primary residences and isn’t available for existing loans, for second homes, or refinancing. It’s also non-transferable and valid only for the primary cardholder tied to the targeted offer, so authorized users on the account aren’t eligible.

One other thing to note in the fine print: If you downgrade or cancel the targeted card before the mortgage closes and the bonus posts, you’ll forfeit the offer entirely. If you plan to use this promotion, make sure to keep your eligible card open throughout the entire process.

You don’t always have to apply for a new credit card with a welcome offer to earn a ton of points at once.
