Golf fans, listen up: If you have an American Airlines cobranded credit card from Citi, you can soon redeem AAdvantage miles for tickets to next month’s Ryder Cup in Farmingdale, New York. This announcement came shortly after American Airlines and the PGA of America partnered to make American the official airline of the PGA.

Here’s what you need to know about redeeming AAdvantage miles for Ryder Cup tickets.

Redeem AAdvantage Miles for Ryder Cup Tickets and Experiences

American Airlines and the PGA have expanded their partnership, allowing those with eligible American Airlines cobranded credit cards issued by Citi to redeem AAdvantage miles for tickets to the Ryder Cup. This event is one of the biggest in golf and will take place between September 26 and September 28, 2025, in Farmingdale, New York.

Cardholders will soon be able to redeem miles for these tickets on MasterCard’s Priceless website. General tickets aren’t on sale yet, but expect them to cost a hefty amount of miles when available. For reference, paid tickets start at $421 per person for the first day.

Eligible cardholders will also be able to redeem miles for an exclusive American Airlines Chalet experience. This will include gourmet dining and premium views of the game. Mileage pricing for this experience has not yet been announced, but again, expect it to be pricey.

Eligible cardholders can also bid on tickets on a pair of tickets to the Ryder Cup’s first tee with AAdvantage miles. This package includes reserved seating with prime views of the opening tee. The auction is live now through August 18, 2025. It’s up to 100,000 AAdvantage miles at the time of writing.

If you plan on redeeming AAdvantage miles for Ryder Cup tickets, keep your eyes on the Priceless website and act quickly when they’re available. As one of the most important golf events in the U.S., tickets will sell out quickly.

Final Thoughts

American Airlines and the PGA of America have partnered to offer exclusive benefits to those with Citi-issued AA cobranded credit cards. Eligible cardholders can also bid on exclusive experiences during the event, including reserved tickets to the first tee.

This isn’t American’s first foray into non-travel redemptions. The airline recently announced the AAdvantage Exchange, which lets travelers redeem miles for merchandise like watches, suitcases, televisions, and more. That said, redemption values are often lower than what you’d get if you redeem miles for flights.
