And now, the 2 carriers are deepening their relationship and offering mutual lounge access to certain flyers of each airline.

Effective immediately, certain members of Air Canada’s Aeroplan program and Virgin Australia’s Velocity program have access to airport lounges of either airline, with some stipulations.

Air Canada Aeroplan Elite 50K, 75K, and Super Elite members can now enter Virgin Australia lounges across Australia when flying on a same-day Virgin Australia ticket. These flyers can also bring 1 guest into the lounge with them.

Virgin Australia lounges can be found in the following cities across the Australian continent:

  • Adelaide (ADL)
  • Brisbane (BNE)
  • Canberra (CBR)
  • Gold Coast (OOL)
  • Melbourne (MEL)

  • Sydney (SYD)

On the flip side, Virgin Australia Velocity Gold and Platinum members can now visit Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges and Air Canada cafes when flying on a same-day Air Canada ticket.

Maple Leaf Lounges can be found in the following cities across Canada, Europe, and the United States:

  • Calgary (YYC)
  • Edmonton (YEG)
  • Frankfurt (FRA)
  • Halifax (YHZ)
  • London-Heathrow (LHR)

  • Regina (YQR)
  • Saskatoon (YXE)
  • St. John’s (YYT)
