Air France is doubling down on the Americas this winter.

In addition to increasing frequencies across both continents, the French flag carrier is increasing the number of U.S.-bound flights with the new La Première first class product.

Let’s take a look at the details.

Air France La Première Expansion

Over the course of the IATA winter season, 25 of Air France’s Boeing 777-300ERs will have been retrofitted with the new La Première, which debuted in April 2025.

More planes mean more routes and more frequencies, and the U.S. continues to be a primary destination for Air France‘s most luxurious offering.

New La Première Routes

The next destinations to welcome the prestigious cabin will be Boston (BOS) and Newark (EWR), starting with Boston on November 19, 2026. Notably, this won’t just introduce the new La Première to Boston — it’ll mark the debut of Air France’s first class service on the route.

And from February 1, 2027, La Première-equipped planes will touch down at Newark for the first time. From then on, it will be permanently available to book on Air France’s once-daily service to the New Jersey airport.

Expanded La Première Service

In its latest update, Air France has also confirmed that it will increase La Première’s availability in Houston (IAH) and Miami (MIA) over the winter season.

For first class passengers traveling to or from Miami, both daily frequencies will feature the new La Première cabin as of November 18, 2026.

As for Houston, which only welcomed La Première for the first time in July this year, Air France has already upgraded the service to the new La Première on its daily service.

How To Book Air France La Première

The complexity and cost of booking Air France’s La Première play a huge part in making this cabin one of the most exclusive in the skies. Round-trip flights between the U.S. and France can easily cost over $20,000.

Redeeming points doesn’t make things easier, as only the top elite members in the Air France-KLM Flying Blue program are eligible to redeem miles for tickets.

Hot Tip:

I was lucky enough to try out Air France’s (old) La Première cabin by upgrading a business class ticket I had paid for in cash for a relatively reasonable $1,800.

Final Thoughts

For those who can afford it — or have the status required to redeem miles for it — increased La Première service to the U.S. is especially welcome news. For those of us for whom it remains a bucket-list item, we’ll soon be able to catch glimpses of the new product on many more flights to and from the U.S.
