Air France has just opened a brand-new lounge at Chicago O’Hare (ORD).

The new space, which opened on October 17, is the airline’s sevent airport lounge in the U.S. Better still, the lounge will be available to Priority Pass members at certain times of the day.

Here’s everything we know about Air France’s freshest new U.S. airport lounge.

Air France Lounge Brings Chic to Chicago

The French flag carrier, which is renowned for its style and elegance, has just opened a brand new lounge at O’Hare.

The 5,000 square-feet Air France lounge is located airside (after security) in Terminal 5, close to Gate M17.

The space’s high ceilings and full-length windows ensure passengers can relax in a bright and airy environment. Not only that, but it boasts AvGeek-worthy views over the apron and runway.

Passengers looking to fuel up before a long flight can do so from the hotel-style buffet area. Dishes will vary throughout the day and include french classics like beef bourguignon.

On the other side of the lounge is a fully serviced bar, designed with haute Parisien hotellerie in mind.

There’s also a private space reserved for Air France-KLM’s most loyal passengers with Flying Blue Ulimate status.

Hot Tip:

Want to fly Air France business class and sample its lounges without breaking the bank? Here’s how to book it with points.

Gaining Access To Air France’s Chicago Lounge

Access to the lounge is primarily restricted to both Air France and KLM passengers flying in business class or with eligible Flying Blue elite status. SkyTeam Elite Plus passengers who earned the status with the likes of Delta, SAS, or Virgin will also have access to the lounge.

The space is open daily from 5 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. with passengers mentioned above welcome to use the lounge at all times.

Air France has also sold access to Priority Pass, meaning Chicago Terminal 5’s Priority Pass lounge game just leveled up significantly.

However, to ensure there is enough space for departing Air France and KLM passengers, Priority Pass members will be denied access between the hours of 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Final Thoughts

Air France’s chic new lounge is a win for select passengers departing from O’Hare’s Terminal 5, especially for Priority Pass members not flying in premium cabins. It’s great to see the carrier open its seventh U.S. lounge, and we look forward to finding out which airport could get one next.
