Air Tahiti Nui and Air Rarotonga are offering a status match for new members of their loyalty program, Club Tiare.

The news coincides with Air Rarotonga joining Air Tahiti Nui’s network with interline connections between the 2 airlines. Interestingly, this status match is only open to new Club Tiare members, and you need to have elite status with another airline.

Air Tahiti Nui Club Tiare Status Match Details

Air Tahiti Nui and Air Rarotonga share the Club Tiare loyalty program.

To participate in this status match, you must be a new Club Tiare member, and you can join here for free. Unfortunately, existing members aren’t eligible.

Once you’ve joined, you can fill out this form to request a status match. The form asks for your name, email, membership number, and details of your elite status with another airline.

One of the requirements is that you must have elite status with a “major airline” that is “flying between continents.” However, there’s no requirement that the airline be in a major alliance or a list of qualifying airlines. Several low-cost airlines fly between continents, such as Ryanair and Spirit Airlines, so it’s worth submitting an application if there’s a chance you’ll qualify.

If you have silver (or equivalent) status with another airline, you’ll be matched to Club Tiare silver status. Those with gold status (or equivalent) or higher with another airline will be matched to Club Tiare gold status.

This offer is available through the end of March 7, 2025, Tahiti time, which is 5 hours behind Eastern Time in the U.S.

Club Tiare Elite Benefits

Silver status normally requires earning 30,000 status miles. At this tier, you’ll enjoy benefits like 50% bonus miles on paid flights, access to priority check-in, and extra checked luggage allowance.
