Award Deal — Details

Alaska’s Mileage Plan program consistently provides top-notch value for affordable award flights. Currently, you can book award seats for one-way domestic flights from cities around the U.S., including to Alaska and Hawaii, for between 4,000 miles and 17,500 miles, depending on the route.

The sale ends tomorrow, April 24, at 11:59 p.m. PT.

The best way to search for flights is to use an award search tool like Seats.aero or use Alaska’s award calendar, which displays an entire month’s worth of award pricing based on the city pairs you enter.

This sale offers saver rates on over 100 routes, with ample award space for domestic flights across the continental U.S. and even to Hawaii.

For example, flights on Alaska’s popular route between San Francisco (SFO) and Los Angeles (LAX) can be found for as low as 4,000 miles plus $6.

You’ll even find redemptions on nonstop transcontinental flights between New York and Los Angeles from just 17,500 miles plus $19 in taxes and fees:

A bonus with these redemptions is that they book into Alaska Airlines’ Main Cabin award fare type (even if you’re flying on an American Airlines plane), which includes both seat selection and a carry-on baggage allowance.

How To Earn More Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Miles

Since this is an Alaska Airlines award sale, you need to redeem Alaska miles to book these domestic awards.

Outside of flying Alaska or its partners directly, there are plenty of other ways to earn Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles, including spending on the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card or transferring points from Marriott Bonvoy.

You can also shop online via the Mileage Plan Shopping portal, have a meal with Mileage Plan Dining, link your Lyft account, credit a hotel stay, utilize rental car partners, or even buy Mileage Plan miles. It’s also possible to transfer Hawaiian Airlines miles to Alaska Airlines, and you can get Hawaiian Airlines miles from points transfers from Amex Membership Rewards.

Hot Tip:

If you don’t have enough miles for the award sale, Alaska is offering discounted cash fares, too. You’ll want to make sure you pay for your flight with one of the best travel rewards credit cards for a good return on spending.
