Update: The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.
This is an example of when free really means free. Well, except for the taxes.
Alaska Airlines is offering free tickets to anywhere it flies (excluding Prudhoe Bay), All you need to do is purchase 1 economy class fare and you’ll get the second fare absolutely free. You’ll just have to pay whatever taxes and fees there might be on top.
You’ll have to spend your day planning your getaway(s) if you want to make the most of the offer as it expires at 11:59 p.m. PST on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
BOGO Offer Details
To be eligible for the promotion you must purchase your tickets directly through alaskaair.com and use discount code STARBUCKS.
Travel must be between January 5, 2022, and March 9, 2022, to qualify for the discount. Unfortunately, blackout dates apply from February 18, 2022, through February 28, 2022.
The airline stipulates specific days of the week when the offer is valid. So, outbound flights from the U.S. to winter-sun destinations like Florida, Belize, Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Mexico from Sundays through Wednesdays are valid. Returning flights from these destinations are only valid Tuesdays through Fridays.
You can book as many one-way or round-trip tickets with the code as you please and you will earn Mileage Plan points. Upgrades are also allowed with these fares.
The discount will be applied on bookings with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 7 people.
One final thing to remember is that the discount is only applicable on flights operated by Alaska Airlines and not any codeshare flights.
Final Thoughts
This is a great deal to make the most of if you were thinking of taking a trip with your partner or a group of friends this winter. In fact, it’s still a great deal even if you weren’t planning on traveling.
If you’re looking to earn additional miles or segments on your way to the new MVP Gold 100K status, a few more flights on Alaska metal would certainly help.
See you in Costa Rica…!
