There are certain things you can mark on your calendar because you know they’ll happen every year. Unfortunately, Alaska Airlines raising its lounge membership prices is among those annual trends.

The airline quietly added a note about price increases on its website, so here’s what you need to know about the price increase on February 1, 2025 — and how to save $100 on your membership if you decide to buy one.

Increased Alaska Airlines Lounge Membership Fees in 2025

Just like it did in early 2024, Alaska Airlines will increase its Alaska Lounge membership fees on February 1, 2025. This comes shortly after the airline increased its lounge day pass rates from $50 to $60 just a few months ago.

Unfortunately, the airline hasn’t clarified the full pricing structure. Instead, you’ll find a message on the lounge membership home page with this 1-sentence offering: “Membership pricing will increase February 1: Lounge memberships will start at $595 and Lounge+ at $795.”

You’ll notice the “starting at” phrasing. That’s because Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan elite members get a discounted price on their membership. Currently, pricing looks like this:

SCROLL FOR MORE

Membership Type

Standard Price

Elite Member Price

Lounge Membership

$550

$450

Lounge+ Membership

$750

$650

The discounted price is available to anyone with Alaska Mileage Plan elite status, from MVP up to MVP Gold 100K. The key difference between a Lounge and Lounge+ membership is access to partner airline lounges.

Based on the messaging on Alaska Airlines’ website, it would appear that elites will continue to get discounts for lounge memberships. That’s not likely to be true, though. In announcing changes to Mileage Plan for 2025, Alaska Airlines indicated the lounge discount for elite members would go away. Thus, the “starting at” pricing may use a different scheme altogether next year.

Hot Tip:

For those wanting to save on a Lounge or Lounge+ membership with Alaska Airlines, buying before February 1, 2025, can save you money. You also can save $100 on a membership by paying with the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card or Alaska Airlines Visa® Business credit card. Note, however, that this discount doesn’t combine with the current discount for elite members. The maximum discount is $100.

Final Thoughts

Alaska Airlines is making multiple changes for 2025. Among them, you’ll find increased costs for annual lounge memberships. If you’re interested in buying a Lounge or Lounge+ membership, paying before February 1, 2025, would make sense, as you’ll lock in a lower price.

Alternatively, you’ll be able to choose lounge passes (good for a single visit) or choose a lounge discount (but not a full membership) through next year’s Milestone Moments, outlined in our coverage of next year’s changes.
