There are certain things you can mark on your calendar because you know they’ll happen every year. Unfortunately, Alaska Airlines raising its lounge membership prices is among those annual trends.

The airline has delayed the price increase by 11 days and has provided final clarity about this new change. Here’s what you need to know about the price increase on February 12, 2025 — and how to save $100 on your membership if you decide to buy one.

Increased Alaska Airlines Lounge Membership Fees in 2025

Just like it did in early 2024, Alaska Airlines will increase its Alaska Lounge membership fees on February 12, 2025. This comes shortly after the airline increased its lounge day pass rates from $50 to $60 several months ago. Day pass fees have since increased $65 per visit.

When this price increase was first announced, the pricing wasn’t totally clear. Now the lounge membership home page has the updated pricing and effective date for the change.

You’ll notice the “starting at” phrasing. That’s because Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan elite members previously enjoyed a discounted price on their membership. However, that’s going away, and you’ll need to choose that benefit as a Milestone Moment, which is new for this year.

Currently, pricing looks like this:

$595

Lounge+ Membership

The key difference between a Lounge and Lounge+ membership is access to partner airline lounges. It’s worth noting that anyone with an Alaska Airlines co-branded credit card from Bank of America can get $100 off a Lounge+ membership, but that doesn’t apply to the regular lounge membership.

Hot Tip:

For those wanting to save on a Lounge or Lounge+ membership with Alaska Airlines, buying before February 12, 2025, can save you money. You also can save $100 on a membership by paying with the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card or Alaska Airlines Visa® Business credit card. Note, however, that this discount doesn’t combine with the current discount for elite members. The maximum discount is $100.

Final Thoughts

Alaska Airlines is making multiple changes for 2025. Among them, you’ll find increased costs for annual lounge memberships. If you’re interested in buying a Lounge or Lounge+ membership, paying before February 12, 2025, would make sense, as you’ll lock in a lower price.

Alternatively, you’ll be able to choose lounge passes (good for a single visit) or choose a lounge discount (but not a full membership) through next year’s Milestone Moments.
