Alaska Airlines recently launched a set of new credit cards under its rebranded Atmos Rewards program, allowing travelers to earn a big chunk of points toward future flights.

Now, we’re seeing the second version of welcome offers on these credit cards since their launch. These are definitely different from the last offers.

Depending on which card you apply for, you can enjoy a welcome offer with up to 80,000 points, a 30% global flight discount, a Companion Fare, and even a companion award for use when redeeming points. All 3 cards have a bonus offer that includes points, plus they offer something else in addition.

Here’s a closer look at what each of these new credit cards brings to the table.

New Welcome Bonuses on Alaska Atmos Rewards Credit Cards

In tandem with the rebranding of its loyalty program, Alaska Airlines recently launched 3 new co-branded credit cards, including a new premium credit card, giving travelers fresh ways to earn points toward flights, companion tickets, and other travel perks.

The new lineup includes the Atmos™ Rewards Ascent Visa Signature® card, a rebrand of the former Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card, the new premium Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® card for frequent travelers, and the Atmos™ Rewards Visa® Business Card for small business owners.

Now, the Alaska Airlines website is showing new offers for these cards. Here are their respective bonus offers:

  • Atmos Rewards Summit card: Earn 80,000 bonus points plus a 25,000-point Global Companion Award after spending $4,000 in the first 90 days. The card has a $395 annual fee and no foreign transaction fees.
  • Atmos Rewards Ascent card: Earn a 30% global flight discount on approval plus 60,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 or more on purchases in the first 90 days. The card has a $95 annual fee and no foreign transaction fees.

The value of these cards goes well beyond the welcome bonus offers and companion perks. Cardholders also enjoy free checked bags for themselves and up to 6 guests, preferred boarding, lounge access, and strong points-earning rates — plus a host of additional benefits, which vary by card. These benefits make them a solid choice for just about anyone looking to maximize Alaska Airlines travel or redeem points for flights on Oneworld partners.

Hot Tip:

If you travel with a companion, the included companion fares and Global Companion Award can provide massive value—often covering nearly the full cost of a second ticket. Pair that with free checked bags and preferred boarding, and even a single trip can more than justify the annual fee on these cards.

Are These Offers Worth It?

From our perspective, these new Atmos Rewards cards are very compelling. The welcome bonus offers on these cards are very valuable because of their combinations of points with discounts on your upcoming trips.

There are numerous ways to redeem Alaska points for maximum value. Even if you aren’t a regular Alaska flyer, these offers are worth a serious look.

The premium Atmos Rewards Summit card stands out in particular, not just for its 80,000-point bonus and 25,000-point Global Companion Award, but also for the array of perks it carries. It offers free checked bags, preferred boarding, lounge access, and generous earning rates like 3x points on Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines purchases and 3x points on dining and foreign purchases made overseas.

Overall, the combination of high welcome bonus offers, companion perks, and ongoing benefits makes these cards attractive for a wide range of travelers, including casual flyers and Alaska loyalists alike.
