American Airlines’ AAdvantage is offering a limited-time sale on redemptions to Australia and New Zealand starting at 25,000 miles one-way. The offer is available on both American Airlines and Qantas flights.

The offer is valid for travel through October 31, 2026, so here’s everything you need to know to score the deal before it expires.

American Airlines is out with another flash sale, this time, covering travel to Australia and New Zealand. This offer applies to economy flights on American Airlines and Qantas. Unlike previous similar offers, this deal doesn’t extend to business class.

AAdvantage members must book and travel before October 31, 2026.

We found offers available from cities across the U.S. to Australia for just 25,000 miles. The lowest awards available to New Zealand start at 35,000 miles.

A great example is this one-way flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Sydney in Main Cabin for 25,000 miles plus $27.70 in taxes and fees.

The 25,000-mile award deal to Australia even applies when flying from the East Coast. For example, you can fly from New York (JFK) via Los Angeles to Sydney with both flights operated by American Airlines:

Despite being closer to the U.S, the lowest redemptions to Auckland start at 35,000 miles, including from Miami (MIA).

Before booking, here are some important terms and conditions to note:

The offer is valid on flights between the 48 contiguous U.S. states.
Reservations must be made by October 31, 2026.
Travel must be before October 31, 2026.
Valid only on flights operated by American Airlines, American Eagle, and Qantas.

If you have existing award travel booked with American Airlines, it’s worth checking to see if you can book the same flights with these promotional rates. If the availability exists, you can cancel existing tickets, have your miles refunded, and rebook at the discounted rates.
