American Express has just made it easier (and more valuable) to use a popular statement credit on its cash-back cards.

Previously known as the “Disney Bundle credit,” the benefit is now the “Disney streaming credit.” This statement credit includes a broader range of eligible streaming services and no longer requires minimum spending, though prior enrollment is still required.

Those with the Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express can receive up to $10 in monthly statement credits, while Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express holders can get up to $7 back each month.

It’s not often that we see an issuer simplify perks for cardholders — and we’re glad to see this generous change. Let’s explore the details of this improvement on these rewarding cash-back cards.

Amex Blue Cash Cards Get Improved Disney Streaming Credit

There aren’t any annual fee increases with this new and improved credit. The Amex Blue Cash Preferred card has a $0 intro annual fee for the first year, then $95 (rates & fees), while the Amex Blue Cash Everyday card has a $0 annual fee (rates & fees).

Thanks to the Disney streaming credit, those with the Amex Blue Cash Preferred card can earn up to $10 back per month in statement credits on U.S. subscriptions to Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN+ — an increase from the previous $7 monthly benefit that required spending at least $9.99 each month.

The credit still applies to the Disney Bundle, which includes multiple Disney-owned streaming services. Altogether, the annual value of this benefit has increased from up to $84 to up to $120.
