The Business Platinum Card® from American Express is one of our favorite business cards around. And that’s for good reason — the card is a powerhouse when it comes to earning rewards on a wide range of purchases.

However, Amex has made some changes to 2 of the Amex Business Platinum card’s key statement credits (enrollment required) — here’s what you need to know.

New Amounts for Adobe and Dell Statement Credits

As of July 1, 2025, the Adobe and Dell credits will be structured as follows:

  • Get up to a $250 statement credit after spending at least $600 with Adobe directly through its website from July 1 to December 31, 2025, and each calendar year after that.
  • Get up to $150 in statement credits on U.S. purchases made directly with Dell, and earn an additional $1,000 statement credit after spending $5,000 or more on Dell purchases from July 1 to December 31, 2025, and each calendar year after that.

What To Know About These Changes

We’re happy to see these statement credits stay, as they’re a critical part of this card’s value proposition with a $895 annual fee (rates & fees) , but these changes aren’t overwhelmingly positive.

With respect to the Adobe credits, the amount you can get back is theoretically higher. And, all Adobe purchases will count toward triggering the statement credit, whereas only certain purchases count toward the credit in its current iteration.

The silver lining, as pointed out by AwardWallet, is that there’s an opportunity to double-dip with each of these benefits while the changes are implemented.

Final Thoughts

After a period of uncertainty, we finally know for sure that these important Amex Business Platinum card statement credits are indeed sticking around.

Whether these changes are net-positive or net-negative will depend on your business’s unique situation, and you should regularly take stock of your credit card lineup to ensure it still matches your needs and spending profile.
