Whether you’re booking flights directly with the airline or through AmexTravel.com, a new Amex Offer can give you up to 10% back on your spending.

This offer seems widely available across members of the Upgraded Points team, but it’s only available to those with The Business Platinum Card® from American Express. Here’s a closer look at this offer and how to find it.

New Amex Offer for $250 Back on Flight Purchases

The terms of this new Amex Offer say it’s only available for those with a U.S.-issued Amex Business Platinum card. If you’re a cardholder, check your offers and click “Add to card” to enroll in this offer.

Through June 17, 2025, you can earn $250 back as a statement credit after spending $2,500 or more on flight purchases with any airline — so long as they’re booked directly with the airline or through AmexTravel.com.

This offer can only be redeemed once, and only purchases made after enrolling will qualify. Luckily, you don’t have to spend the entire $2,500 at once. You can spend that much on multiple purchases as long as they are made after adding the offer to your card and before June 17.

Qualifying purchases don’t include charter flights, private jet flights, flights booked as part of a vacation package, gift cards, points purchases, purchases at airports that aren’t flight tickets, and inflight purchases — even if made directly with the airline.

Lastly, any portion of the airfare you offset with points or miles at the time of booking won’t count toward the $2,500 spending requirement, and there are a few other exclusions to note. For instance, flights booked through third-party agencies, such as Expedia or Orbitz, won’t qualify.

Is It Worth It?

Should you take advantage of this offer? Absolutely, as long as you need to buy flights and have this offer available on your Amex Business Platinum card account.

If you were to spend exactly $2,500 on flights before June 17, 2025, you would get in return a $250 statement credit, which provides a 10% rebate on your spending. That’s a pretty good deal for saving on flights!
