This latest offer rewards American Express cardholders with 30,000 Membership Reward points after spending $2,500 or more on flights with Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA). You have until the end of this year to make your payment, but you can fly any time you like.

The offer must be added to your card and used before it expires on December 31, 2025. Flights must be booked with the credit card to which the offer is saved and must be booked via fly-ana.com or by calling 800-235-9263.

In general, you can expect to pay around $1,000 for a round-trip flight to Japan with ANA, so a trip for 2 people in economy could add up to the $2,500 requirement for this offer.

The Amex Offer will be best used by travelers living in Chicago (ORD), Honolulu (HNL), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA), Vancouver (YVR), and Washington, D.C. (IAD), as ANA operates nonstop services from Japan to these cities.

Bonus points will be added to cardholders’ accounts within 90 days of December 31, 2025.

Is This Offer Worth It?

It has to be said: Spending $2,500 for a bonus of 30,000 Membership Rewards points is among Amex’s better offers.

In fact, as per our valuations of Membership Rewards points, 30,000 Membership Reward points are worth around $660! That’s a 26.4% return on $2,500 worth of spending.

The slight downside is that the $2,500 must be spent on flights with ANA, which means a trip to Japan (or beyond). Booking flights on other airlines won’t trigger this offer.
