Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

The Platinum Card® from American Express offers card members with generous travel and lifestyle credits. This includes $200 in Uber cash annually, distributed as $15 each month, along with a $20 bonus ($35 total) in December (enrollment required).

This month, Amex Platinum cardmembers have the opportunity to earn an extra $15 in Uber cash by booking and taking a ride in advance with Uber Reserve and using their eligible Amex Platinum card for payment.

Let’s take a look at the details of this limited-time offer.

Limited-Time Offer: $15 Uber Cash Bonus for Amex Platinum Cardholders in March

From now until March 31, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. ET, those with the Amex Platinum card can earn $15 extra in Uber Cash credit when they reserve and complete a ride in advance with Uber Reserve and use an eligible Amex Platinum card for payment.

This bonus credit is in addition to the $15 monthly Uber Cash benefit already issued as a monthly benefit of the Amex Platinum card.

As long as a card member schedules an Uber Reserve ride in advance and completes the ride in the month of March and pays using their eligible American Express Card, they should theoretically earn the $15 Uber Cash bonus and see it in their account within 7 to 10 business days upon completion of the Uber Reserve ride.

Once the $15 Uber Cash bonus is credited to the account, the cardholder must use it within 30 days to avoid expiration. As always, you can use the credit for a ride with Uber or order food delivery through the Uber Eats app in the U.S. You can see the full terms of this promotion here.

Hot Tip: Check to see if you’re eligible for a welcome bonus offer of up to 125k (or 150k) points with the Amex Platinum. The current public offer is 80,000 points. (This targeted offer was independently researched and may not be available to all applicants.)

Final Thoughts

As an Amex Platinum cardholder, in March, you have the opportunity to double your monthly Uber Cash credit from $15 to $30 by booking and completing 1 Uber Reserve ride using your Amex Platinum card.

There appears to be no minimum amount required to spend on an eligible Uber Reserve ride to get the bonus, so this could be a great deal if you have an Amex Platinum card and use Uber to get around.
