Amex Travel Adds Over 400 New Fine Hotels + Resorts, Hotel Collection Properties

American Express announced on August 19 that it had added more than 400 hotels to its ultra-luxe Fine Hotels + Resorts and The Hotel Collection portfolios.

Here’s what travelers should know.

More Than 400 Properties Added

The new hotels are located in 49 destinations, and the additions bring the total number of hotels between the Fine Hotels + Resorts and The Hotel Collection to more than 3,100.

Here’s a look at some of the new hotels:

  • Fine Hotels + Resorts (Italy): Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Resorts Collection — Some rooms in this 83-key hotel feature private terraces overlooking Tuscany. Amenities include several dining options, a pool and bar, and a spa.
  • The Hotel Collection (Pennsylvania): Omni Bedford Springs Resort and Spa — This hotel offers several restaurants, a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, a whirlpool, and a fitness center.
  • Fine Hotels + Resorts (Los Angeles): Regent Santa Monica Beach — Guest rooms and suites here feature private terraces, with amenities such as a signature restaurant, a spa, and a pool.
  • Fine Hotels + Resorts (Portugal): Viceroy at Ombria Algarve — This hotel has 3 room types, several dining outlets, a spa, and more.
  • Fine Hotels + Resorts (Japan): Waldorf Astoria Osaka — Amenities here include 3 restaurants, a spa, a library, a fitness center, and a pool.

Several new hotels on the list are offering perks such as a complimentary third night when booking a stay of 2 nights or more.

Next up is The Hotel Collection. The program offers premium benefits on stays of at least 2 nights at select properties across the globe, such as:

  • $100 credit towards eligible charges
  • Room upgrade at check-in, if available

You’ll need one of the cards mentioned above to access The Hotel Collection, but unlike Fine Hotels + Resorts, this benefit is also available to American Express® Gold Card and American Express® Business Gold Card holders.
