The Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort in Costa Rica is a Category 8 World of Hyatt property, meaning award stays start at 35,000 points per night.

How To Find Hyatt Award Availability

There are several ways to find available dates. Award search tools like MaxMyPoint or Rooms.aero offer calendar views that can help you find dates, pricing, and the comparable cash rate.

However, World of Hyatt also has a nice calendar function for points stays, showing you what various nights will cost — assuming they have availability. The Lowest rates are clearly marked in green to help you identify them.

The Best Card for Earning These Points

The World of Hyatt Credit Card has a $95 annual fee but can go a long way toward booking award stays at the Andaz Peninsula Papagayo.

Along with a quality welcome bonus offer, you’ll earn bonus points on daily spending. Bonus categories on the card include Hyatt hotels, restaurants, airfare, transit and commuting, and gyms. Cardholders also earn qualifying nights toward status from daily spending, receive a Category 1-4 free night certificate each year they hold the card, and cardholders can earn another free night certificate through spending each year.
