Update:

The Park Hyatt Beaver Creek is about to get a lot more expensive to book with points.

Hyatt is making changes to its award chart this May, and in simple terms, that usually means you’ll need more points for the same hotels, especially the really good ones.

The good news? We’re currently seeing wide-open award availability for peak ski season — which means now is the time to lock in current rates before prices spike in May.

Book the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek With Points

If you’ve been eyeing a ski trip to Colorado, this is one of those “book now, plan later” situations.

With World of Hyatt’s upcoming program changes, there’s a real chance that properties like the Category 8 Park Hyatt Beaver Creek will go up in price. If that happens, award nights could jump from today’s peak rate of 45,000 World of Hyatt points all the way up to 75,000 points per night, a huge increase for the exact same room.

Right now, though, you can still lock in rates starting at 35,000 points per night. That alone is a great deal for a ski-in, ski-out resort like this, but the ideal play is to lock in peak ski-season dates at today’s pricing before those higher rates kick in. Even better, we’re seeing surprisingly wide-open availability for peak ski season later this year and into early 2027.

Cash rates here during ski season can easily climb into the thousands per night, so being able to book with points — especially at current pricing — is exactly the kind of redemption you want to jump on.

From personal experience, this is a great property for a ski vacation, especially for families. The ski-in, ski-out setup at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain makes everything seamless — no shuttles, no hassle. You’re steps from the lifts, ski school, and the village, which makes a huge difference when you’re traveling with kids.

How To Find Award Availability

To quickly search for award availability, tools like Rooms.aero or MaxMyPoint‘s calendar view come in handy — we used them to spot wide-open availability from November 2026 to January 2027.

Redeeming Hyatt points at a 5-star ski resort like the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek can be a smart alternative to shelling out thousands in cash. For those who value luxury without the high out-of-pocket cost, this kind of redemption is tough to beat.

Final Thoughts

Hyatt’s May changes are coming quickly, and the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek is exactly the kind of property that could get a lot more expensive overnight.

For now, you can book the exact same standard room for far fewer points than you likely will in just a few weeks. With peak ski season availability wide open, this is one of those rare chances to lock in serious value before prices jump.

If a Colorado ski trip is even remotely on your radar, this is the time to book.
