American Airlines introduced “March Map-ness,” a promotional campaign that debuted in March, paying tribute to March Madness, the well-known NCAA basketball tournament held annually in March.

The promotion offered travelers a bracket-style competition through American’s social media channels, inviting them to select their favorite vacation destination from 16 contenders. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic was ultimately crowned the winner.

In honor of Punta Cana’s triumph, American Airlines is offering, for a limited time, the opportunity to book award flights to Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) starting at only 5,000 AAdvantage miles one-way for travel this summer.

If you’re still thinking about your summer travel plans, this deal could be just what you’ve been waiting for.

Here’s what you should know.
