Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

If you’ve been dreaming of visiting Taiwan but have been struggling to find decent award space, we’ve got you covered!

Currently, there is good availability on EVA Air flights to Taipei, with options in both economy and business class for up to 2 passengers departing from the West Coast.

Although dates are in the middle of next, the good news is that you’ve got a lot of time to lock down other details of your trip — and lots of time to look forward to it.

Award Alert — Details

While you could search award programs one by one, we prefer to save time and use free award search tool like Roame.Travel, which is how we came across this award space.

We’ve found a bunch of sets in economy. In our view, though,a business class is definitely the way to go for the 14-hour flight to Taiwan, especially since EVA Air’s business class is highly rated.

To score the best price, you will want to use Air Canada Aeroplan to book these flights.

We are seeing up to 8 seats in economy for just 44,300 points using United miles, so this could be a great way to get that trip out of the group chat and into reality. Best of all, there’s also business class availability for 2 passengers on most dates, making it an ideal option if you’re traveling with others.

To help find the most availability, try searching with one of your preferred tools, which will populate up to a year in advance (if you have the pro version), and let you compare multiple dates and routes simultaneously:

If you don’t have the pro version, you can still search for award flights — but only for departures in the next 60 days.

Alternatively, you can use the flexible dates search on Air Canada’s website to view a week’s worth of dates at once, available after conducting an initial search.

Best Ways To Book

The best prices and availability are found using Aeroplan points.

EVA Air offers a great product in both its older and newer business class, thanks to excellent service. — and it’s not an exaggeration. Flights in business class normally cost $3,000 one-way.

Earning Aeroplan points is pretty easy, due to the volume of transfer partners. You can make 1:1 transfers to Aeroplan from Amex Membership Rewards, Bilt Rewards, Capital One miles, Chase Ultimate Rewards, and Mesa Points.

You also can earn points from daily spending and the welcome bonus on Aeroplan’s co-branded credit card.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve been searching for flights to Taiwan, or even want to use it as a landing point for a trip to other points in Asia, this is a great deal to take advantage of.

Plus, since there is award availability in both economy and business class, this is an excellent opportunity to use your hard-earned points and miles to fly there comfortably and affordably. We don’t expect this award availability to stick around for very long.
