Brazilian airline Azul is connecting Florida with off-the-beaten-track destinations in Brazil.
The airline took passengers from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Belem (BEL) on Brazil’s north coast on December 16, 2022, just 1 day after inaugurating service between Manaus (MAO) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL).
Here are the facts on Florida’s new routes to Brazil.
Azul Adds 2 New Routes to Brazil From Fort Lauderdale
With the addition of Belem and Manaus, Azul now operates from 4 Brazilian cities to Fort Lauderdale. The only international destination with the same number of Azul services is Montevideo (MVD), the capital of Uruguay.
As per the airline’s current schedule, both routes are seasonal and will end in mid-October 2023.
The Fort Lauderdale to Belem service will operate 4 times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays with flights returning to Belem on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
As for Azul’s service from Manaus — one of the most important gateways to the Amazon — it will operate 2 times per week to Fort Lauderdale on Thursdays and Saturdays, returning to Manaus on Mondays and Fridays.
Both routes will be operated by the airline’s fleet of narrow-body Airbus A320neo aircraft with 174 all-economy seats.
The cheapest economy return fares start at around $705 from Fort Lauderdale to Belem and from just $552 from Fort Lauderdale to Manaus when booking directly through the airline’s website.
