Today, November 7, 2024, Bank of America is bringing back its More Rewards Day for cardholders to earn either 2 additional miles or 2% cash-back on purchases made that day. This single-day event could provide an opportunity to earn extra miles for making purchases that wouldn’t typically earn extra miles.

How To Participate

There’s no enrollment necessary for this offer. Simply spend on a Bank of America credit card on November 7, 2024, from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. ET to participate. It’s worth noting that the purchase itself needs to be made on November 7, even if it posts later. Similarly, a purchase made before November 7 but posting on that date won’t count for the offer. You physically need to swipe your card or hit “purchase” online on November 7.

Any transaction that typically earns points or cash-back is eligible, which is excellent as it means this offer isn’t limited to specific categories.

The bonus points will be posted to your account about 12 weeks after the promotion has ended.

Note that Bank of America Preferred Rewards members will earn their regular Preferred Rewards bonus on their purchases but not on the incremental bonus earned on this promotional day.

Cash-Back Cards

If you hold a Bank of America card that typically earns cash-back, you’ll add an additional 2% as cash-back on November 7 (for the first $2,500 in purchases up to $50 cash-back). For example, if you usually earn 1% cash-back, you’d earn 3% back on November 7. If you typically earn 2% back, you’d earn 4% on November 7.

Hot Tip:

Consider delaying some large purchases until November 7 to earn additional rewards under this offer.

Points and Miles Cards

Similar to cash-back cards, if you hold a card that earns points or miles, you’ll add an additional 2 points or miles for every dollar spent (for the first $2,500 in purchases up to 5,000 points or miles). For example, if your card earns 3 miles per dollar, on November 7, you’d earn 5 miles per dollar.

Non-Rewards Cards

Interestingly, even if you hold a credit card that doesn’t usually accumulate miles, points, or cash-back, on November 7, whatever you spend will earn 2% cash-back as a statement credit (valid for the first $2,500 in purchases up to $50 cash-back).

Final Thoughts

With More Rewards Day, Bank of America hopes you’ll keep its cards front of mind to spend on them rather than sticking them to the back of your wallet. If you have purchases to make and have a Bank of America card, be sure to swipe your card today, November 7, for bonus rewards.

The information regarding the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card was independently collected by Upgraded Points and not provided nor reviewed by the issuer.
