Breeze is continuing its mission to provide new air connections for regional airports.

It was recently announced that in February 2024 the airline would commence service for the first time to Ogden (OGD) in Utah as well as a new route between San Bernardino (SBD) and Phoenix (PHX).

Here are the details of Breeze’s new routes.

New Breeze Routes Coming in 2024

Breeze is launching 2 unique new services in February 2024.

San Bernardino (SBD) to Phoenix (PHX)

On February 15, 2024, Breeze’s new service between San Bernardino and Phoenix will be the first of the 2 new routes to be inaugurated. Breeze will be the only carrier offering a connection between the 2 cities.

It will operate on Thursdays and Sundays at the following times:

  • Depart Phoenix (PHX) 10:43 a.m. — Arrive San Bernardino (SBD) 11:11 a.m.
  • Depart San Bernardino (SBD) 11:51 a.m. — Arrive Phoenix (PHX) 2:16 p.m.

Ogden (OGD) to Orange County (SNA)

The airline’s arrival in Ogden on February 21, 2024, will mark the return of commercial air service for the small regional airport after Allegiant and Avelo pulled out of the airport in 2022.

The new link to Orange County — just a 15-minute drive from Disneyland — will mean those living in the Ogden area will no longer need to travel the 40-mile journey south to Salt Lake City (SLC) to catch their flights to California.

The service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays with the following schedule:

  • Depart Orange County, California (SNA) 8:50 a.m. — Arrive Ogden (OGD) 11:40 a.m.
  • Depart Ogden (OGD) 1:30 p.m. — Arrive Orange County, California (SNA) 2:30 p.m.

Given Breeze’s track record of tapping into unserved routes regional airports, this could only be the start of a wider expansion out of Ogden.

However, the airline’s success at the airport is also not guaranteed.

“Low-cost carriers are an interesting breed and so they are very flexible, they operate on price point, and so they need to be in markets that are sustainable, and sometimes that means when fuel pressures happen or competitive pressures happen, they move their operations, and we saw that with both Allegiant and Avelo in 2022, unfortunately,” explains Brandon Cooper, Director of Community and Economy Development at Ogden Airport.

Hot Tip:

As a low-cost airline, you might want to get familiar with Breeze’s baggage fees and the best ways to cover the cost.

Final Thoughts

Breeze’s 2 new services will provide entirely new and unique nonstop travel options for those living at both ends of the routes.

Introductory one-way fares on both new routes are available to book now and start at $39!
