If you have the Capital One SavorOne Cash Rewards Credit CardInformation collected independently. Not reviewed by Capital One. or Capital One SavorOne Student Cash Rewards Credit CardInformation collected independently. Not reviewed by Capital One., the “One” in your card’s name is going away. Those cards will now rebrand to simply “Savor,” though the perks and earning rates on these cards will remain the same.

Instead, you’ll see updated artwork for your card’s design and an increased welcome bonus offer on the refreshed Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card.

If you’re thinking “Savor” as a card name sounds familiar, that’s because Capital One previously offered a card with the exact same name (Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card), though that card stopped accepting applicants in July 2024.

Here’s what you need to know about the updated and the old version of the Capital One Savor card after the latest updates.

Capital One Rebrands SavorOne Cards to Savor

Capital One is removing “One” from the SavorOne cards, which include the Capital One SavorOne card and Capital One Savor Student card. Other than a name change and new card art, nothing about these cards is changing. These cards will now be known as the Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Savor Student Cash Rewards Credit Card.

Starting on October 22, 2024, the “One” in the former SavorOne card names will disappear, and you’ll see new artwork the next time you replace your card. However, the card’s earning rates and benefits won’t change.

With the updated Capital One Savor card, you’ll still enjoy no annual fee, unlimited 3% cash-back at grocery stores, on dining, entertainment, and popular streaming services, and 1% cash-back on all other purchases. Cardholders also earn unlimited 5% cash-back on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel.

If you’re a current cardholder, you can continue to use your existing card without interruption. When your card expires, or if you request a replacement, a new edition with fresh artwork and a new name will be mailed to you beginning in November.

Bottom Line:

Capital One is removing “One” from SavorOne card names and giving these cards new artwork, but this won’t impact existing cardholders’ ability to use the cards, benefits on the cards, or earning rates.

What About the Previous Capital One Savor Card?

Those with the previous Capital One Savor card, which has a $95 annual fee, won’t see any changes. They’ll still earn unlimited 4% cash-back on dining, entertainment, and popular streaming services, 3% back at grocery stores, and 1% back on all other purchases.

After the rebranding, however, there will now be 2 cards known as the Capital One Savor card. To avoid confusion, you’ll see us refer to these with terms like “refreshed” and “updated” for the new version. The existing version of the card, which isn’t open to new applicants, will be referred to with terms like “legacy” or saying it’s “not available.”

Final Thoughts

Capital One is rebranding its SavorOne card family, changing the artwork and card names. The Capital One SavorOne card and Capital One Savor Student card will become the Capital One Savor card and Capital One Savor Student card. To coincide with this news, the refreshed Capital One Savor card has an elevated welcome bonus offer.

Those who already have these cards won’t experience any interruptions in using them or changes to their features. There may be confusion for some, though, as Capital One will now have 2 cards with the same name: the new Capital One Savor card and the old Capital One Savor card.
