Normally, when you move Capital One miles to JAL Mileage Bank, you’ll get 750 JAL miles for every 1,000 Capital One miles. With the 30% bonus, that same 1,000 miles now gives you 975 JAL miles — so your miles go much further during the promo.

Cardholders with the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card, Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, and Capital One Venture X Business CardInformation collected independently. Not reviewed by Capital One. earn unlimited 2x miles on every purchase, which translates to 1.5 JAL miles per $1 spent once transferred.

Adding JAL to the transfer lineup opens up new premium travel opportunities. Japan Airlines is one of the world’s top carriers, and its Mileage Bank program often has better award availability for premium cabins than you’ll find trying to book with miles through Oneworld partners.

For instance, JAL’s newest business class on the Airbus A350 from New York (JFK) to Tokyo typically costs 110,000 miles each way — and award space is notoriously hard to find through other programs.

With this 30% transfer bonus, though, you’d only need 85,000 Capital One miles, making it a far more attainable sweet spot for travelers eyeing luxury flights to Asia.

However, if you’re planning on taking advantage of this transfer bonus, keep in mind that new JAL Mileage Bank accounts require a 7-day waiting period before miles can be redeemed.

JAL Mileage Bank is already a strong partner ,thanks to its award availability and easier access to premium flights to Japan. Cardholders who act quickly can save a big chunk of miles on that bucket list trip to Japan and other parts of Asia.
