Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Cathay Pacific is celebrating its return to Seattle (SEA) with special introductory fares starting at under $650 round-trip. To take advantage of this deal, you’ll need to book by March 31, 2026, but there’s a lengthy travel window that runs through the end of the year, depending on your destination.

Plus, there’s an additional discount available for Cathay Pacific cardholders — let’s check out all the details.

Cathay Pacific Promotion Details

Cathay Pacific will resume nonstop flights between its Hong Kong (HKG) hub and Seattle (SEA) on March 30, 2026. To commemorate the return of this route, the airline is offering promotional fares to Hong Kong and beyond from just $647 round-trip when you purchase between now and March 31, 2026.

Plus, new and existing Cathay World Elite Mastercard® members receive additional savings of up to 15%.

Note that the specific travel window will depend on where you’d like to travel and in which cabin class. Here are the eligible travel windows for economy and premium economy passengers:

  • Traveling to/from Hong Kong: March 30 to May 23, 2026; August 1 to December 7, 2026
  • Traveling to/from Mainland China: March 30 to May 13, 2026; August 3 to November 30, 2026; and December 25 to December 31, 2026
  • To all other destinations: March 30 to May 13, 2026; August 3 to November 30, 2026

Business class passengers who want to take advantage of the sale must travel on or after March 30, 2026.

Is It Worth It?

While the airline advertises fares from $647, we’re seeing slightly lower fares, such as this round-trip ticket between Seattle and Phu Quoc, Vietnam (PQC), for $642 in economy.

While these fares are objectively solid, you’ll want to compare prices that other airlines are offering if you’re planning on flying to Asia. Is the price with Cathay lower than what other airlines offer on a similar route with the same number of stops and the same amount of travel time?

If you’re weighing adding a 15-hour layover to your trip to save a few hundred bucks, it might not be worth it.

Hot Tip:

When paying for your ticket, use a credit card with extra rewards on airfare purchases to maximize your spending.

Final Thoughts

Until March 31, Seattle flyers can take advantage of introductory fares in all cabin classes on Cathay Pacific’s soon-to-be-resumed nonstop route to Hong Kong. Prices vary by destination and cabin class, so you’ll need to do the requisite research before booking. But if you’re based in the Seattle area and want to book a trip to Asia, this sale is definitely worth checking out!
