Chase is officially phasing out its Chase Dining platform, a program introduced at the height of the pandemic to give cardholders more ways to use their rewards beyond travel.

Powered by Tock, the service has been accessible on the Ultimate Rewards portal, allowing users to book reservations and exclusive dining experiences at hundreds of restaurants nationwide. It also allowed customers to both earn and redeem points for meals.

Here’s what you need to know now that Chase is ending this program in the coming months.

What Is Chase Dining?

Since its launch in October 2021, Chase Dining has been available to Chase Sapphire, Ink, and Freedom cardholders. Accessible through the Ultimate Rewards portal under the “Shopping & Experiences” section, the program could be found by selecting the “Explore dining” tab, where users could browse and book dining reservations across more than 200 cities powered by the reservation platform, Tock.

Chase offered a special incentive to Chase Sapphire Reserve® card holders: All prepaid Chase Dining reservations earned 10x Ultimate Rewards points, consisting of 3x base points on dining and an extra 7x bonus points for booking through the platform.

However, Chase sent a notice to Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders that the Chase Dining program will go away on October 26, 2025 — roughly 5 years after its launch.

That also means after that date, Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders will no longer earn 10x points on prepaid Chase Dining reservations.

Hot Tip:

American Express completed its full acquisition of Tock in late 2024, making it only a matter of time before changes to Chase Dining followed.

Chase Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables

As part of a major refresh to the Chase Sapphire Reserve card last month, the issuer introduced a new annual dining credit through a program called Chase Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables. Under this new benefit, cardholders receive up to $300 each year, split into 2 $150 biannual installments, specifically for use with this Exclusive Tables platform.

Curated by The Infatuation and OpenTable in partnership with The Visa Dining Collection, the program offers access to a wide selection of sought-after restaurants. Although the end of Chase Dining wasn’t explicitly mentioned in the refresh announcement, it’s not too surprising that the program was being phased out in favor of this new, Reserve-only experience.

However, it’s disappointing that Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders only earn the 3x point multiplier on dining — even with the Chase Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables.

Final Thoughts

When the refreshed Chase Sapphire Reserve card launched recently, and there was no mention of Chase Dining among its perks, we had a feeling this might be coming. Now, we know for sure.

The end of Chase Dining marks a shift in how Chase is approaching dining perks for all of its cardholders, moving from a broad platform to a more exclusive experience for its most premium cardholders. If you’ve been using Chase Dining, now’s the time to take advantage of any remaining benefits before the platform officially sunsets in October 2025.
